Billie Joe Armstrong's Rehab Stay Won't Affect Voice Appearance!

Phew!

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong will still appear as Christina Aguilera's rockin' mentor on The Voice despite his recent admittance into rehab!

Billie kinda freaked us out when he let a deluge of expletives pour from his mouth at this weekend's iHeartRadio Fest, but it seems the aggressive outburst was part of some larger problem, which Mr. Armstrong is now addressing in a rehab facility.

Thankfully, all of Billie's Voice segments with team Xtina were pre-taped this summer before any of this nasty ish occurred.

We hope you shake allll your devils off that leather-clad back of yours, Billie!

And congrats to those Dookie-lovin' boys on TODAY's release of ¡Uno!, their first album in the highly anticipated ¡Uno!,¡Dos!, ¡Tré! musical trilogy!

not the kind of mentor I want for my child. He's performance was disgusting.

Re: alliestp – I love this guy's music, but I agree that he might not be the best mentor for a child. But The Voice is smart enough not to have really young children as competitors. It really bothers me that X-Factor lets children compete. Not only is fame so hazardous for kids, but early over use of a really good voice can destroy it.

Are you kidding me?!?! His freak out on stage was AWESOME!!! I TOTALLY agree with him!! Their new songs may be lame but damn its nice to see some rock and roll debachary! They've been around long enough to be respected and if you haven't learned in the past what….20 years they have been around, B.J. is NOT going to put up with that! I love these guys!!

I wish him well. A 40-year-old man throwing a temper tantrum is not a pretty sight.

His performance wasn't disgusting, you'd be ticked off too if you get one minute to perform for your fans. That's his job and he was given one minute opposed to what the "mainstream" acts were getting. Not only that I've seen from sources it was a last minute thing, they wouldn't have played otherwise. I'd be happy for Billie to mentor my children cause they'd learn to not sit down and be a push over.

I simply can't believe Christina doesn't have a nip-slip everyday. The first voice she was OBVIOUSLY under the influence of something….she does have pipes…but what else? If you know Billie's resume it is quite amazing. I would love my child to be around him! NOT UNATended or hanging in a bar or over at Billie's house. But in a musical setting, with adult supervision, not the Lohan kind, it would be amazing.
