Jimmy Kimmel And Tracy Morgan's Twitter Prank At The Emmys Totally Worked!

| Filed under: TV NewsJimmy KimmelTracy MorganEmmys

If you watched the Emmys last night, then you saw Jimmy Kimmel ask Tracy Morgan to lie down on the stage and pretend to be passed out in order to get the attention of Twitter.

He asked viewers to tweet something along the lines of, "OMG, Tracy Morgan passed out on stage at the Emmys. Turn on ABC right now!"

We thought it was a funny gag that commented on how social media has become such an active part of our daily lives, but his prank actually worked!

About 25,000 tweets instantly hit the Twitterverse, as Twitter TV revealed:

We bet there were a lot of confused people tuning in to ABC after that!

The best part of the bit was that the 30 Rock star remained on stage until he was finally carried off after about 10 minutes or so. LOL!

Now that's dedication!

Dedication? No. It's cheap. It's like a little brat begging for attention by laying on the floor and kicking. If you need to sink that low for twats to Tweet, you are desperate.
How about doing something funny Mr. Tracy Morgan to gather attention, as we all know that social media has changed society. Oh, thanks for letting us know, Mr. Kimmel. I will trade in my dial phone on the wall with the ear piece and get a cellular. Cora the town operater will be out of a job, poor lady.

One of the dumbest things I have EVER seen on T.V.

Never seen them but that sounds similar to that stupid "planking" thing that was popular two years ago or so.
