The Wilshire Blvd. studios which house CBS news and talk radio stations KNX 1070 and KFWB 908 were evacuated Tuesday morning after a suspicious 'beeping' package was found in the bulding's second floor lobby!
"LAPD bomb squad suiting up to go into @KNX1070 offices on Wilshire….threat suddenly feels very real."
Sportscaster and Automotive Journalist at KNX 1070 Randy Kerdoon is also tweeting his evacuation experience, posting:
"Two suspicious packages , one beeping, CBS Studios evacuated @CBSLA
In the interest of accurate reporting, we now know it was BEEPING, not ticking! More details as they become available #CBSLA"
BUT you know what? All is well in the world of Wilshire, as the mysterious package turned out to be some beeping promotional material from a production company!
NBC Los Angeles JUST tweeted:
"#UPDATE: #LAPD bomb squad lets ppl back into @KNX1070, @KFWB bldg. Pkg was promotional item from a production co"
We're glad everyone involved is ok and can continue to MASTER those airwaves like the radio professionals they are!
