Ann Romney Praises America For Electing The First Black President!

| Filed under: TV NewsPolitikBarack ObamaJay Leno

Well, this was nice of her!

While chatting up Jay Leno during her first appearance on The Tonight Show, Ann Romney gave Barack Obama the only compliment he's probably ever going to get from his competition and said:

"I love the fact that we have the first African American president. That means to me we're leaving our prejudices behind. I would hope that if Mitt were elected, we would see more of the same."

She's referring to the fact that he's a Mormon, of course, which is totally fine by us. We don't understand why a presidential candidate's particular religion really matters.

That is, unless that particular religion gets in the way of extinguishing ALL prejudices that hold this great nation back.

If Mitt Romney gets elected, we certainly hope we would see "more of the same" acceptance and tolerance for ALL minorities too. It's just too bad the Republican party has decided to make a national gay marriage ban part of the platform.

No one could have cleaned up Bush's mess in 4 short years. Vote Obama. (He's the one who is NOT a sociopath).

Not quite sure what she was trying to accomplish with that outfit…duh! " boston 61" said it all….Vote Obama, unless you really want to go backwards instead of forewards.

Re: boston61 – Bush's mess? Carter & Obama still hold the record! Nice try though, keep repeating it and you'll make it 'true'! I feel bad for Romney having to clean up Obama's mess!

I love it when "suddenly" all these liberals turn up at the same time and cheer about Obama. EVERYONE knows that the majority of Perez's viewers are NOT Obama supporters. OBVIOUSLY they are all the "pay to post" workers that the campaign has hired.

Go away Obama Trolls. We all see right through your fake support of Obama.

Obama has spent more than all the previous presidents COMBINED! He has blown through 6 TRILLION dollars. He is a complete maladroit president and if you are still voting for him, you are either on a welfare program or a complete idiot.

There are more people living off the system than there are people working. This cannot sustain itself. We will see roits in the streets and our dollar will collapse if he wins.

Mitt Romney would be nothing but a huge step back for America, if Romney was more in favor for gay rights, I would be in between the two candidates (not a fan of either) but since he supports the prejudice of gay people, I will never vote for him. Sad, because politicians are so phony and don't stand up for what they REALLY want.

Re: LiberalsMakeMeSick – False. Just…false. Obama is the smallest government spender since Eisenhower. He's cut spending in his final budget and it rose marginally before that. or . Can you make an argument that it wasn't enough spending cuts considering the state of the economy? Sure. I'd disagree but…the argument is there. However, you can't say he's the biggest spender when there's clear proof of the opposite.

And more people living off the system than working? Even Romney clearly doesn't agree with that with his whole "47%" thing. IF that 47% really were dependent on government (which they're not), that's still not more.

    Republicans make me sick.
