It's widely believed that Mike Bridger — the diver who died on the set of The Lone Ranger last Friday — lost his life due to a heart attack, but a government agency will know for sure in 6 months.
Just like it would for any other death during a movie production, the Division of Occupational Safety and Health is performing a full investigation into the matter.
The agency plans to inspect the equipment he was using at the time of his death, the tank he was in, as well as his medical conditions before death in an effort to find out whether or not there was any negligence from his employer.
Both the responding authorities and Bridger's own family seem to be in agreement that the cause of death was likely due to his heart condition, so we doubt there will be any scandal arising from this unfortunate accident.
Still a sad story nonetheless and we wish his family the best during this difficult time.
