Tom Cruise Quitting Scientology After A SEVERE Crisis Of Faith?

| Filed under: Tom CruiseLove LineKatie HolmesColdplaySuri Cruise

It might not be so far fetched!!

Everything is coming up tails for Tom Cruise lately and those close to him think he's fed up and ready for a drastic change!!

And we don't mean a switch from briefs to boxers or from missionary to reverse cowgirl — Tom is contemplating leaving The Church of Scientology for GOOD!!

The horror!!!!!

One insider revealed:

"[Tom is] finally seeing that being such an advocate for Scientology hasn’t served him as well as he’d hoped — he’s gone through three divorces, and his public perception has sunk to an all-time low.”

He's such a prominent member of the church, it's hard for us to imagine him letting it go!

Then again, his failed relationship with Katie Holmes marks his third divorce and the man hasn't held Suri in months!

We haven't seen Maverick this bummed since Goose died!

He's lost and confused and we understand his crisis of faith!!

Xenu haters shouldn't celebrate just yet, though. It's not a done deal!

The inside source continued:

“Tom hasn’t admitted that he’s definitely leaving Scientology for good. But he’s distanced himself from those in the church and has been hanging out with good friends who aren’t part of the religion… Tom’s been leaning on friends who have different perspectives, getting advice on moving on from Katie as well as on everything he’s been going through with Scientology."

Perhaps the Mission: Impossible star's friends and confidantes are warning him to stop living life with his eyes wide shut?

But would the church even let him leave without a fight??

We wish knew the answers, Tommy boy, but you have to figure this one out on your own!

your "news", hilton, comes from the STAR. wow. great journalism, ya fugly-ucker.

  2. 2

It would be wonderful if he left Scientology. I don't think he has to worry about reprisals - he has enough money to protect himself from them. The big issue is that it would leave a big hole in his life that hopefully he can fill with something healthy instead of another addiction.

Why do you never credit the sites you steal from? Do you think we don't know that most of what you post is copied and pasted from other, better sites? The dudes at the superficial always credit other sites; I guess that this is evidence of their professionalism and ethics (and your utter lack of both qualities). Loser.

and this freak can't just 'quit' this cult. they have the goods on him, and unless he draws up some kind of nondisclosure (he's good at having these made up) agreement with his boyfriend, david miscarriage, he will not leave.

and even if he does sign something, it will all come out in the end, anyway. ya' think david miscarriage is the only one with access, and privy to, the contents of all those auditing sessions that made him telekinetic. jeesh!

    na-nu, na-nu!

    There is NO LEAVING Scientology!

  9. 9

Well, Scient doesn't really ALLOW its plebians to leave. That said, the BEST thing Tom could ever, ever, ever do is to leave the cult he is in and GET HELP as to why he was sucked in in the first place.

He's an incredibly bright, talented and charismatic man. Whatever he decides, I'm pretty sure he'll put the effort in to try to do what's right for his life and make it work.

There's no woman out there for Tom; he needs a man…..

Tom Cruise should insist that David Miscavige "step down" and demand that the Scientology Corporation starts acting like a real church by helping others. Long-time top staff member Debbie Cook defected this year and very publicly outlined where the Church is off the rails. Many good people are in Scientology and some find it helpful. Let them do that. Oust and forbid one-person take-overs that use the religion to perpetrate manipulation for money and power.

  19. 2 sides of Same Coin says – reply to this

The Independent sceintologists are no different than those in the organization — they want to be led and they are being led by David Miscavige's sidekick of 2 decades, Marty Rathbun. Out of the frying pan, into the fire. Independent Scientologists are just as mixed up. What Tom Cruise should do is denounce the personal manipulation by greedy power mongers, and let everyone just do the good, SOCIAL STUFF SCIENTOLOGY IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT. Like study and communication.

Re: Ripp52 – The World would LOVE Tom Cruise if he was a real justice-fighter and put a stop to the corruption and abuse. Then he can keep his "faith" and practice, too, without the bullshit Scientology has been made into. Just keep it about the books and doing it, not playing spy and Machiavelli like David Miscavige does. And Tom, while you're at it…stand up for some of the real artists that the "Church" is bashing and defaming for no f-in reason.

  21. SuperREAL HERO!! says – reply to this

Christianity was eventually brought in line by society's ethics and moral codes. People were getting "slaughtered" by "the Vatican" but put their foot down and said to the phony Pope: OK kiddies, torturing and defamation for political power is not allowed in civilized society. Besides, what does torture and Inquisition have to do with Jesus? D'oh. The Inquisition was the opposite of Christianity but people mislabeled it Christianity. Same needs to happen with Scientology. I'm not against people studying or privately following what floats their boat. This is a call for Tom Cruise to be a real life hero. Stand up to corruption in his own "faith". he can look. He knows. and don't buy into the other power mongers trying to set themselves up as Independent Scientology gods bullshit, they are bigots and don't even practice how it's supposed to be done. Come on Tom Cruise! Be a real hero. Something is wrong and you know it and it AIN'T that "the whole world is SP."

  22. david says – reply to this

that is tommy davis in suri's face and eyes. i have thought that for awhile now. its tommy's kid. and this cult is fucked up enough to find a ways and means to make this happen. ruffee, anyone? these folks are sick. they haunt and taunt the "SP's". who does that? why do the powers-that-be let these human rights abuses continue? if these atrocities were being done to US military forces, these abusers would have been taken care of THAT DAY!

    sicko-wacko scientolotards

  23. 23

Best wishes to whatever he finally chooses to do.

  24. Stranger Smith says – reply to this

Xenu is the Scientologists' equivalent of Satan. He would not be looking to Xenu for a sign.

  25. 25

Wow he's only considering leaving? After the evidence came out of the head of scientology mocking and ridiculing Tom's secretly taped confessions with other scientology members? I mean what else needs to happen for Cruise to realize that the church is not what it seems. If he stays after than then he's beyond help.

  26. Be-Atch says – reply to this

Ummmm…lets see…three failed marriages, countless failed relationships…he is a latent homosexual who cannot be true to himself…Now, WHY would he think this crackpot religion is not providing him guidance, light, and security …? IT IS A CULT ! ! !

  27. Be-Atch says – reply to this

Wouldn't it be COOL if he and John Travolta both dropped outa this crack pot religion, dated, and eventually married and had 5 kids via a surrogate ! ! ? ? ! ! LOL !

  28. smakk says – reply to this

all religions are cults. People should drop them all and set our sites on science. Even the legit religions have crazy beliefs.

  30. Larry Poteet says – reply to this

Tom, Hey, am praying for you, have you in my thoughts that this crisis will turn around for your good. Hang in there. Keep yourself calm, centered and focused. You will survive.

AGREE!! That kid has Tommy Davis genes all the way!

  32. Mrs. Libnish says – reply to this

Re: @v@ – Shelly Miscavige, David (COB)'s wife has been missing for years. Along with the Prez of International Scientology, Hebert Jentsch and now Tommy Davis.

  33. 33

His beliefs unfortunately causes his troubled married life…

  34. 34

Tom is a really charming man and actor. Nicole and Tom were so wonderful together sad to think their marraige was destroyed.Katie is kinda of annoying and not his soulmate.Would love to see him happy with a lovely woman.

  35. 35

he was spared the shadow of the organization, as most stars are. 2012 - the year of unmasking.

  36. 36

Re: Stranger Smith – damn, you really need to do some research, absolutely wrong.

  37. Dean Fox says – reply to this

Re: @v@ – He may be bright, talented and charismatic but he's made some pretty poor choices, especially with respect to joining the church of scientology.

If he decides to stay with the church of scientology then he's clearly not learned anything and unfortunately his all time low public perception of him will continue on its downward track.

The best thing Tom could do is issue a statement on this matter saying he no longer supports the church of scientology and that he's moved on from it. If he doesn't everyone will assume he's still a supporter of the cult even if he doesn't speak about it.

  38. @v@ says – reply to this

    Re: Dean FoxRe: Mrs. Libnish
If all those upper strata people are seriously unaccounted for, would Tom be in danger if he did try to leave?!? IF those people are missing, where are the news articles and investigations?

  39. naya says – reply to this

    I hope this is true.

I hope the man leaves that cult behind, and finds some peace and happiness in his life. Truly, I wish him only the best.

Doesn't mean I'll start paying to see his movies, though

  40. Xenu says – reply to this

You've gotta get the Sept 25, 2012 issue of Vanity Fair and read "What Katie Didn't Know." All about how scientology picks women for Cruise, hooks him up and actually chooses his wives. But in one case, they messed up and chose a women he got involved with, only to break it off in a hurry. She didn't like Cruise's handlers in scientology. must read!

  41. RJFlorida says – reply to this

That's the word on the street. He is going through exit strategies and the way he divorced Katie was a big part of it. He will keep contributing money but he will do what the fuck he pleases and if Miscavige doesn't like it he doesn't have to take the money.

  42. Rich says – reply to this

But what about all the glory hole photos they have in his Scientology file?

  43. Rick Carter says – reply to this

You are NOT on your own, Tom Cruise, why don't you join me as a Scientian, or the belief system of Scientia, which simply means you believe in a God of Science, or a Creator God (i.e., Intelligent Design, based upon the underlying complex laws of the Universe) who is primarily devoted to Scientific principle. (Yes, I will be "around", people - Rick Carter). - RC

  44. Rick Carter says – reply to this

Re: Rick Carter – The so called "Tree of Life" is actually the tree of Science (believe it or not), with it's many resident branches of Science, both above and below ground. The above ground branches of Science are the Intelligent branches of Science, and the below ground branches of Science (i.e., the root system) are the Natural branches of Science. Every branch of Science has its applied Science, otherwise known as Technology, and the branch of (Intelligent) Science known as ETHICS has its applied Science (or Technology) known as Morality. - RC

I feel bad that I've never prayed for Tom to leave the cult. I do really hope he is opening up to non-Scientologists. Good luck to him.

I do believe all of the ideas you've introduced for your post. They are very convincing and will certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very brief for beginners. Could you please lengthen them a bit from subsequent time? Thank you for the post.

Tommy Davis ans his wife have blown. That's why we haven't seen him for last yr. they signed a gag order. Shelly miscavige still MIA though.

  48. PandaJ says – reply to this

I can't imagine the $cientologist just laying down and letting him leave. He's one of their biggest propaganda and recruiting tools and they are vicious, unscrupulous people.
