    It would be wonderful if he left Scientology. I don't think he has to worry about reprisals - he has enough money to protect himself from them. The big issue is that it would leave a big hole in his life that hopefully he can fill with something healthy instead of another addiction.

    and this freak can't just 'quit' this cult. they have the goods on him, and unless he draws up some kind of nondisclosure (he's good at having these made up) agreement with his boyfriend, david miscarriage, he will not leave.

    and even if he does sign something, it will all come out in the end, anyway. ya' think david miscarriage is the only one with access, and privy to, the contents of all those auditing sessions that made him telekinetic. jeesh!

    Tom Cruise should insist that David Miscavige "step down" and demand that the Scientology Corporation starts acting like a real church by helping others. Long-time top staff member Debbie Cook defected this year and very publicly outlined where the Church is off the rails. Many good people are in Scientology and some find it helpful. Let them do that. Oust and forbid one-person take-overs that use the religion to perpetrate manipulation for money and power.

    The Independent sceintologists are no different than those in the organization — they want to be led and they are being led by David Miscavige's sidekick of 2 decades, Marty Rathbun. Out of the frying pan, into the fire. Independent Scientologists are just as mixed up. What Tom Cruise should do is denounce the personal manipulation by greedy power mongers, and let everyone just do the good, SOCIAL STUFF SCIENTOLOGY IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT.     Christianity was eventually brought in line by society's ethics and moral codes. People were getting "slaughtered" by "the Vatican" but put their foot down and said to the phony Pope: OK kiddies, torturing and defamation for political power is not allowed in civilized society. Besides, what does torture and Inquisition have to do with Jesus? D'oh. The Inquisition was the opposite of Christianity but people mislabeled it Christianity. Same needs to happen with Scientology. I'm not against people studying or privately following what floats their boat. This is a call for Tom Cruise to be a real life hero. Stand up to corruption in his own "faith". he can look. He knows. and don't buy into the other power mongers trying to set themselves up as Independent Scientology gods bullshit, they are bigots and don't even practice how it's supposed to be done.     Tom is a really charming man and actor. Nicole and Tom were so wonderful together sad to think their marraige was destroyed.Katie is kinda of annoying and not his soulmate.Would love to see him happy with a lovely woman.

    If he decides to stay with the church of scientology then he's clearly not learned anything and unfortunately his all time low public perception of him will continue on its downward track.

    The best thing Tom could do is issue a statement on this matter saying he no longer supports the church of scientology and that he's moved on from it. If he doesn't everyone will assume he's still a supporter of the cult even if he doesn't speak about it.

    You've gotta get the Sept 25, 2012 issue of Vanity Fair and read "What Katie Didn't Know." All about how scientology picks women for Cruise, hooks him up and actually chooses his wives. But in one case, they messed up and chose a women he got involved with, only to break it off in a hurry. She didn't like Cruise's handlers in scientology. must read!
