OMG!! So who will it be already!?!

We need to know who to think about when we're reading 50 Shades of Grey over and over again!!!

We got really excited when we heard little rumors here and there of Ryan Gosling's potential casting in the sexy film adaptation.

But according to author E.L. James:

"As usual, it's all been misreported. No, my husband has not spilled the beans. What happened is that his local paper reported on my husband being the inspiration for Christian Grey. Underneath it, they put a picture of Ryan Gosling as well. So, that's how that [rumor] came about."

So WHO WILL PLAY HIM?? We must know!! Unfortunately, she says:

"It's far too early in the process. I wasn't prepared for all this attention. This whole roller coaster has been completely mind-blowing."

Sigh…

Welp! Who would U wanna play him??

As you know, we loved the Gosling option. But we're also totally fine with Alexander Skarsgard and Ian Somerhalder. Yummmm.

    50 Shades should be a porn flick. No plot, no character development - just sex. No actor with any self respect should attach themselves to this piece of crap.

    I'm also in love with Gosling, but that's just not how I pictured Christian looking when I read the book. I know he's not very well known, but some pics of Derek Theler look much closer to the Christian I imagined. He's very tall and brooding. Really.

    Ryan isn't right for Christian Grey. Personally I don't think they should make this a movie because I don't think they could make it properly and anywhere close to the book without having an X rating, the best they could hope for is an NC-17. An R rating would fluff over way to much of the story.

    Yeah I couldn't agree more. Something that annoys me though, is with people saying 'oh it should be this for Ana and such' and a lot of people aren't realising that this whole series is sex and nudity. Half the people mentioned to play Christian and Ana are either willing to take their clothes off but don't suit the part or do suit the part but aren't willing to take their clothes off. It's stupid.
    The books were bad enough but there is no way the movie is ever going to be better.

    As others have said, anyone that wants a real career in Hollywood needs to stay far away from this movie, unless they really really tone it down. The book is erotica, and I have nothing against that…but erotica is porn. So make an erotica book into a movie, you end up with porn, or at least something NC-17. I'm actually convinced this movie is never going to get made…because the second they start trying to figure out, they'll figure out its not marketable.

    I totally agree with rosebud99 a really badly written book…no plot and repeative to the point of boredom. I envision Alexander over Ryan. Maybe even Stephen Moyer. Ryan is a little too sympathetic and warm. As the girl I think Emma Watson or Anna Kendrick would be good. The screenwriter needs to create a little more of a plot though to make this one work. Sorry to say I will not be reading books 2 or 3…can't waste my time.

    I did not even bother to finish the books so i do not a give a shit about a possible movie. My biggest concern? its a best seller that beats Harry Potter, doesn't it say a lot about the readers, mostly women and their intellect…worldwide??? PUKE!!! anyways for all the excited ladies out there..these book you can buy at the supermarket you know, the pockets…same level same shit all over…for a few bucks!!!!

    no respectable actor is going to sign on for this movie. The book is horrible. Awful dialogue, stupid characters, ridiculous plot … It's just a fad … Hollywood knows that too.

    Re: Jacki – Agreed….just like the books…a little sex tease, a little suspense, but what you come down to is a very badly written trilogy. How many times can she say his pants hang "in that way", "apex of my thighs"…and on and on. If you got excited that things would get really kinky….fail. Here is a suggestion for you….don't make the stupid movie that would be based upon these stupid books. And so you know, I read them just to know what the fuss was about. And it was about bad writing, psuedo-sexually exciting sex, and the nonsense that we are supposed to believe in these caricatures of … what was her name….oh Anastasia and something Grey.

    The only time these books got interesting to me happened when a little plot showed up in the name of the threats from the old subs and the Ana boss…so bored I can't even remember his name. Totally agree that the sex got predictable and boring for what was supposed to be a hot book. Too much repetition. If they tried to make this movie hot, it would have an X rating. If they try to make it less, the cannot make it at all.

    I'm soo happy gosling is not gonna play Christian, they need to get Ian somerhalder, he would be so perfect for this role, he has the body, the looks, and the talent, not to mention that so many people would go see the movie because everybody loves him, as for Anastasia, I don't have a Hollywood pick to play her, they need to get some up and coming actress to play her, someone that nobody knows, it will launch her career
