Mitt Romney Tries To Get A Crowd Of Supporters To Chant His Name…And Fails Miserably

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TruePolitikBarack Obama

Romney/Ryan! Romney/Ryan! Romney…no? Just Ryan? Okay.

That's pretty much what happened to Mitt Romney when he was campaigning outside Dayton, Ohio this past week.

The crowd began chanting Paul Ryan's name, but then the Republican presidential candidate tried to step in and steal some of the glory (above).

In a HIGHlarious turn of events, the crowd didn't seem to like chanting his name very much because they, well, they just didn't. LOLz!

Like every good politician, he pretended to hear what he wanted to. Despite the super awkward silence, Romney quipped, "There we go, that's great!"

Based on the priceless reaction from Joe Scarborough, the Republican host of Morning Joe, the moment was a far cry from "great."

The video would be tragic if there were any truth to it. It was reported yesterday that MSNBC mislead the public about this video.

You keep supporting Obama, retard. When he loses, and he will, and when the Republicans take over, you can kiss homo marriage goodbye. No one will laugh harder at you than I will.

Facts, need checking. Romney's name WAS being chanted. He wanted the crowd to chant Romney/Ryan instead of Romney Romney. Get your facts straight and have some honor.

another doctored tape from msnbc. people were THERE, they just called into Rush Limbaugh and said the crowd was huge and chanting Romney and he said Ryan we are a team.

obama and his supporters must be really desperate if they now have to doctor tapes when thousands of people were THERE

Re: Yes You Bore Me – Twit Romney is a Business man. He's all about $$$, loopholes, fucking the govt., and his $$$. Not only is Twit Romney the most embarrassing GOP Candidate in American History, he's also the most ignorant as well. America will just fall in to crisis worse than when Dubya Jr left it and handed the mess to Obama to clean up. Romney is a fucknut, and the Debates will PROVE that once and for all. Watch his smug piece of shit ass get cooked, burned, and served!

BTW-do you think Perez will post the "ObamaPhone" youtube clip? Its gone completely viral but you wont see it here because of his censorship-pick and choose what you want your readers to digest only to try and shape them to be zombie liberal. Get all sides out….the video is a classic and not embarrassing at all! Find your balls and post it on your site.

Perez: You were duped! MSNBC put "Ryan" on the screen to make you think you're hearing Ryan, but close your eyes and listen! Or, you can hear it from someone who was actually there:

  19. 19

How much did mitt make in Hollywood agn? $6 million in the epicenter of liberalism. $2 million more than what Jay Z & Beyonce did for Bo in NY. Meh, moving on.

    Is this a fake story?
He's unlikely to get name chanters a la Ron Paul or Gary Johnson.
    Same with the other guy.

    23

Another edited fake tape!! Fake journalist slime . Misleading is an understatement

  24. 24

First off if MSNBC and Joe are reporting this…….might as well be the Disney channel!

  25. 25

Re: @v@ – Yeah, sorry Ron Paul is not in the running - not sure who the other fellow is, will Google him tomorrow. But yes, not voting for Obama again, fooled me once but not again.

  26. Velyna says – reply to this

    26

Re: teeter totter – When did Ron drop? I haven't heard that he dropped yet but I know the media has black listed Ron so I wonder if that's why I haven't heard it. I know Ryan was trying to ask Ron Paul supporters to go to Romney/Ryan other then to someone like Vermin Supreme or Obama. I think you should have a look at Gary Johnson the nominee for the Libertarian party. If you liked Ron Paul and if he really isn't in the running any more then I think Gary Johnson would be a perfect person to nominate in Ron Paul's absence.

Public mainstream media mislead public (no surprise!). Crowd initially shouted 'ROMNEY'. Once Romney took stage he got them to shout Ryan. Then we come to your clip where he gets them saying BOTH names together. You are a disgrace and reposting false inf information says a lot about you, your website, etc. Get your $hit st8

    29

People did say Romney/Ryan. You can hear some yelling it. Shows how well of a reporter you are.

  30. 30

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I WAS THERE! THE CROWD WAS CHANTING "ROMNEY" AND ROMNEY SAID, NO, ROMNEY-RYAN. THIS STORY IS SOOOOO FALSE. THE MEDIA IS TURNING THIS INTO SOMETHING THAT IS NOT TRUE. ROMNEY WAS ADDING RYAN'S NAME. IF YOU LISTEN, YOU'LL HEAR THAT THE CROWD IS CHANTING 'ROMNEY', NOT RYAN. THE MEDIA IS SO BIASED.

  31. tcberg2010 says – reply to this

    31

That's not what happen. Do some fact checking Perez.

  32. DJ says – reply to this

    32

Perez, the only source reporting the chant was Ryan is MSNBC. The New York Times and Politico (two liberal leaning news outlets) both had reporters there and they said it was a Romney chant. In fact I have not read from anyone who was actually in attendance that said it wasn't a Romney chant.

The crowd noise in the video could actually be interpreted either way, in my opinion with the CSPAN feed you could hear Romney’s name and maybe some people saying Ryan too. It was unfortunate that MSNBC decided not to check with anyone in attendance and plaster a close caption “Ryan” title with their video report to sway the listening audience to interpret hearing Ryan’s name only.

The crowd noise from the video can be argued either way. I have no idea if the tape has been “doctored”, but what can’t be argued is all those in attendance, including news reporters, state the chant was Romney. MSNBC reporting looks a little foolish now….
