And it's glamorous!
Two-time Tony Award winner and Broadway baby extraordinaire Patti LuPone is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her life off stage in a new documentary series (directed by her own son) called Entrances, Exits, and Everything in Between.
In the first ep of the series (above), Patti travels to Europe, where she performs in her cabaret act The Gypsy in My Soul on a cruise ship - and thankfully for all her fans (including US), her whole family comes along for the fun and wild ride!
Her son, Joshua Johnston spoke about his experience (aka working with his mama while shooting the film), saying:
"What she and I have collaborated on is our effort to show aspiring performers and fans of the arts what it's like in the shoes of a veteran of the craft: everything from the Sunset lows to the Rainbow Highs of performing, Patti LuPone has seen and lived it all. My intention was to shoot a documentary and not reality TV, and while this is all real, nothing is ever staged or shot twice. With that said, we hope you enjoy watching as much as we have enjoyed living it. Stay tuned for future episodes!"
Oh, and we will!!!
The second episode will air Oct. 8 and we'll be waiting Stage Left with our tap shoes on!
But, first, watch how it all starts in the premiere episode (above)!
