Preach it, oh bubblegum colored QUEEN!
Punky popstar Pink has always embodied a rebellious spirit, and now the Blow Me (One Last Kiss) singer is opening up about her club-drug past, sexuality, and why she's never been one to live by other people's definitions!
Pink expressed to Advocate magazine:
"Honestly, I've never defined myself, I've never felt the need to. I still don't.
The kind of world I live in and lived in… was this sort of very open one. I was like a club kid. I was a little candy raver, and I am the kind of person that sucks the marrow out of the bones of life. Those days were really crazy and lots of all-nighters. And with a bunch of other kids that were trying to find themselves and have a good time doing it and get out from under their parents — and there was a lot of ecstasy. And as far as I'm concerned, when you're on ecstasy there no such thing as definable sexuality. There is just love."
Hot damn, those words are filled with respect and acceptance!
It seems SO silly to us that people live by such rigid definitions, in all aspects of life!
Political affiliations, sexuality, nationality, etc… all imply such definitive labels, yet the interpretations of these labels have become increasingly muddled over many, many years! Love who you wanna love, be who you wanna be, and as long as you're not hurting anyone else, or forcing your beliefs on others, then why should it matter?!
We adore you Pink! Keep cooking up those tasty pop treats, and continue being you're lovely, undefined self!
