Lindsay Lohan's Lifetime Performance Gets PRAISED By The Network

| Filed under: TV NewsLindsay LohanFilm FlickersElizabeth Taylor

We can't wait to see Lindsay Lohan embody Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie Liz & Dick and according to one network exec, we WON'T be disappointed!

Rob Sharenow, Lifetime's Vice President of Programming, has called her performance both "amazing" and "compelling." While attending an event in New York City on Wednesday, he explained:

"I mean she really delivered. I think you'll be very impressed. It's an amazing performance—very compelling. She really inhabits the role in a way that's astonishing."

We figured her bosses were pretty proud of her considering the aggressive advertising campaign they've launched to promote the made-for-tv movie. But what about all of the trouble that has sprung up in her personal life recently?

Ratings gold, that's what!

Sharenow agreed "there's certainly a fascination with Lindsay" and we bet he hopes the public's obsession continues through November 25 when the biopic premieres.

He works for the network. In PROGRAMMING no less. What's he supposed to say?

Well, duh! Do you really think Lifetime will put out a statement that said she sucked balls? From what I've seen of the trailers, that horrible honking rasp of hers ruins any resemblance that she has of Liz. It immediately makes us think, "Lindsay is trying to act like Elizabeth Taylor." Plus, Ms. Taylor had a soft slightly British accent. Sorry, but to me, she doesn't pull it off at all.

Do you expect the network to pan its own movie, you stupid homo? Lohan is also in the skank category, but we should add the words "stupid," "selfish," and note that in addition to being a chronic liar, she will do anything to avoid responsibility for her own actions.

even though she is not as believing as elizabeth i feel so sorry for her i mean why macaulay culkin, her and all those child stars had to become this way?she has talent but why does she have to put herself in these things does she not know any better?such a pity..

She USED to have talent. She has none left at all. When you saw Jamie Foxx playing Ray Charles, you stopped seeing Foxx and only saw Charles. Same thing happened when Joaquin Phoenix did Johnny Cash, Marc Anthony did Hector Lavoe, or Charlize Theron did Monster and Nicole Kidman did Virginia Woolf and more recently, Meryl doing Tatcher. A great actor disappears. He becomes his/her character. In Liz and Dick you never stop seeing, or hearing, trainwreck Lohan. She is waaay too self-centered to be a decent actor anymore.

Re: >^..^< – And you know that without having seen the film ? You must have superpowers.

Re: >^..^< – absolutely right! foxx phoenix, and theron were superb

Re: overthere – trailers show more than enough, 1 sentence out of her infected mouth proves that it blows.

Re: overthere – Are you new here? Haven't you seen the trailers and the "exclusive" bits Perez has posted? You don't need "superpowers" to press the play button, unless you are too dumb even for that.

  12. 12

Of course he going to say that. That's his network!

Lindsay Lohan as Liz is…well, she's just Lindsay Lohan according to some people who have seen the movie in it's entirety.
They're saying she brings absolutely nothing to the role…she's merely playing herself, once again.
"It's like watching Lindsay in a black wig," one observer said.
"Is this supposed to be a comedy?" another asked, "because I laughed nearly every time Lindsay opened her mouth. The whole movie is a bit odd, especially those scenes where the two main stars sit down and "break the forth wall" and talk to the audience. That's supposed to be artistic, I guess, but it's just plain stupid."
A third man said: "The only thing that can save this movie is if "Mystery Science Theater 3000" does their version."

Re: overthere – Well, I don't have to look in the toilet before I flush to know what's there, either, I just flush.

Really> Cuz La Liz's son Chris Wilding says the family won't watch it & that it is a major disappointment. Maybe he hasn't actually seen it but just means that anyone would make a "Lifetime" crap film for old gramdmas about a legend using troubled hasbeen and former cutesy pootsey child star gone bad like La Loserhan. I dunno. Let the public decide I say.

    Re: Nikki

Exactly Nikki! Arnold Klein who was a very close friend to Liz Taylor and Michael Jackson wanted the actress Alexis Kiley to play over Lindsey Lohan. Kiley looks way more like Taylor than Lohan, and is a fantastic actress from what Klein has stated. The media should interview Klein and Liz Taylor's family and get the real skinny on this whole thing.
