Barack Obama & Big Bird Team Up To Get Tough On Crime Mitt Romney!

| Filed under: TV NewsPolitikBarack Obama

This should play well with the under-10 demographic!

While Mitt Romney came under fire recently for flip-floppin', Barack Obama's stance on one of the more critical matters facing our nation has always been crystal clear and unwavering!

Big Bird is GOOD!

Yup, our Prez is pro-PBS and their yellow-feathered mascot is grateful to have a friend in the White House!

Ch-ch-check out the HIGHlarious new campaign ad for President Obama, chock full of Muppets (above)! Ha! With the election less than a month away we're happy to see him retain a sense of humor!

Remember during the first debate when Mittens said:

“I’m sorry, Jim. I’m going to stop the subsidy to PBS. I’m going to stop other things. I like PBS, I love Big Bird. … But I’m not going to — I’m not going to keep on spending money on things to borrow money from China to pay for. That’s number one.”

Of course you do, it was an affront to our childhoods!

Amidst huge national crises including economic woes, inadequate and unequal rights, and more foreign policy drama than a baby mama, this gag may seem kind of silly but Sesame Street is instrumental in educating the youth of our nation!!

We would hate to see it disappear!!

I'm not so sure Obama wants to win. This is so weak and why Obama wants to keep reminding voters of his horrible debate performance makes no sense.

The immaturity shown from both parties makes me want to do a write in.

This is absolutely ridiculous! There were way mor important things discussed in the debate than Big Bird and PBS. And for one I agree with Romney….. the governemnt should have no part in TV shows. PBS will survive without the governments 12%. The government also has its hands in many other places it shouldn't be.

Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.

Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down.

I'm actually almost embarrassed that a man that supports this kind of garbage is our president and representative of this country. He is supposed to be the face of the USA. When have you ever seen the CEO of a major corporation sing show tunes or have their name attached to such garbage as this? Do you think presidents of other countries like Benjamin Netanyahu would ever stoop to this level? Obama said it best 4 years ago, 'When you can't run on your own record, all you can do is attack ads'. If Romney vs Obama was a beating, Ryan vs Biden should be a blood bath. Expect a lot of yelling from Biden about nothing. Romney and Ryan are the dream team and Obama and Biden are just warming the bench until they take over.

This is Obumas stance!! Spend millions on Big Bird ads to slap Mitt! WOW!! Where is Obuma's plans besides EDUCATION? Which wont solve the problem of shitty teachers!
You have to really look at these people backing Obuma. When their is so much lies & bullshit and a President that wants to hang out with celebs more then meeting world leaders! Only cut I hear from him is the military! REALLY!!!! Tax the rich when EVERYBODY knows this money wouldnt scratch the debt or any other plan he has for that money which will NOT trickle down to the people… WAKE UP!! This is NO joke any more!!

Sesame Workshop has asked the Obozo team to take down the Big Bird ad and not use his image.
Even Big Bird doesn't want to be associated with a loser.

This is all getting so stupid. If I was Obama, I would fire whatever campaign manger he has. This is such an insult to the American people. Just plain STUPID.

Re: cheeseman – "CEO of a major corporation sing show tunes " this silly entertainer court jester attitude/ actions. No serious thought, just entertain the populace, they don'y have to convince anyone, they feel they have 95% of the black vote , just cuz he's black.

  14. 14

Yeah, because out of the hour and a half they were on TV debating, Big Bird was the most important subject mentioned. *insert eye roll* Idiots! And first of all, even if funding IS taken away from "Big Bird", it does NOT mean the show goes off air. No, they could always put commercials on and get their money that way. Or they could seek donations more aggressively. Either way, it doesn't mean it would totally be yanked. But God forbid it were, and people actually had to parent their kids instead of using the TV as a babysitter. Wake up people, there are WAY more important things going on then Big Bird losing funding. And, if THAT IS one of your most important issues then you have serious problems.

  15. 15

Are you kidding me? How tacky! I seriously disapprove of politicians from any party manipulating children's programs for their own agendas.

  16. 16

When you’ve lost, um, everybody on all the phony arguements…you have to go to puppets.

I was going to vote for Obama, then came his horrible debate. Maybe I wouldn't have been swayed so easily if there wasn't a video of him complaining about doing his "homework" for the debate. That was just cocky and un professional and not presidential. If you want our support, you should be invested in all aspects of the campaign, homework or not. Not complaining that you need to actually work for the debate. Now all this big bird shit? There are WAY more important issues to be discussed, and this is their biggest concern? Cancelling big bird? Obama has become a let down. Mitt Romney has my vote. Even with all his issues and scandals, he seems professional and very presidential. Hopefully he will get our country on the right track, unlike Obama has for the past 4 years.

Mario - Do you honestly expect Sesame Street and Sesame Workshop to disappear? Where is your outrage for the attacks to our US Ambassador? This is a sorry thing to run on for our President. Sesame Street doesn't even get money from PBS. It is a mulit-million dollar enterprise.

The dynamic duo of Romney and Ryan would drive the entire economy into a nose dive as long as it benefits the richest Americans. They'll even destroy our beloved Big Bird and anything government-funded which stands in the way of making the rich richer. Income inequality is endangering the Middle Class and making paupers of us all who don’t have those millions upon millions of dollars. Read more about the role of Romney’s riches in this election and the power of his sacred undergarments at The working class of our country can’t AFFORD to allow this election to be bought and sold!
