Seems like Demi Lovato might have to give OUR hearts a break — gurl is looking gorgeous on the cover of this month’s Teen Vogue!
Looking like a golden goddess and bearing a much more natural look, Demi sat down with the mag and spilled on everything from X Factor, working with Britney Spears, her health and relationship with One Direction’s Niall Horan!
Now that XF’s season two is getting more and more intense, did DemDem ever think about turning Simon Cowell down when she was offered the gig?
“It was a no-brainer! Right before I got the offer, I'd been sitting in a meeting feeling really discouraged [about my career], wishing I was further along. I was ready to do something new, and I wanted to put that out there, in the universe …and then he called, literally, a week and a half later.”
Wow! That’s cray cray… it definitely seems like it was just meant to be!
As for what it’s like to work SUPER closely with Brit Brit, Demi dished:
“She was one of the first concerts I ever went to. She's incredible. She's such an icon that I didn't know what to expect, but I was excited to find out that she's really sweet and funny and quirky.”
We LOVE it! We don’t know how Demi keeps herself from just fangirling out at the judges' table, LOLz!
And of course, it seems like everyone wants to know what is REALLY going on between the songbird and 1D’s Niall, but don’t get too excited!
“He's a really awesome, sweet guy. But he's not my boyfriend… I'm in a place right now where I really need to focus on myself. Obviously, I'm still going to like people—or love them—but I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be okay with being alone, first.”
So mature! We completely agree on that one!
Along with meditating, eating right and exercising, Demi stays healthy by ensuring she makes EVERY therapy appointment, so she always puts herself and her recovery first!
We are SO proud of Demi and how far she's come! Keep it up, gurl!
