One Direction Highest Selling Record Live While Were Young

One Direction sure are some record-breaking blokes!

It looks like breaking the record for the most viewed vid in 24 hours on VEVO for their single, Live While We’re Young, wasn’t the only achievement they’ve seen recently!

The track has just become the highest selling first week single by a UK artist in the States!

LWWY is currently number one on the charts and has already sold 341,000 copies in ONE week, making it the biggest opening week sales for a song by a non-US artist EVER!!!

Wow! What a HUGE accomplishment!

After hearing the news, 1D’s blondie Niall Horan celebrated and said:

“We're so happy with the success of the single in the USA and can't wait for everyone to hear our new album. Thank you to all the fans once again!"

What a year it’s been for the boys, with their debut album, Up All Night, becoming the top selling debut album of 2012 thus far!

It sounds like Harry, Louis, Liam, Zayn and Niall don’t have to worry about the dreaded sophomore slump, once their second album, Take Me Home is released on November 13th!

We're certain their devoted Directioners will ensure that they show no signs of stopping!

Wasn't "Take me Home" a Cher album?

They couldn't have called it anything else?

Re: Ugh – HAHAHAHHAHA I think I laughed a good 5 minutes at this. Cher? How many One Direction fans listen to Cher you think? Or even know who she is? Hahahaha.. I think this name for the album is just fine lol..

But good on the boys. I like the new single. It's good catchy pop song. Best of luck to them…

I vote that they change it to "best selling artist AD." Much like we have BC and AD, it could be "After Digital" in regards to the influx of iTunes and online downloading.

It is a disgrace that this group beats out The Beatles, The Rolling Stones….it's just sickening. Sure, they are cute and fun but this is getting out of line.

So that mean Lesbian Bieber's "most watched video" has been knocked off? HA
    Bye, Bye lesbian Bieber countdown 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10
enjoy it while it lasts….It looks like your about to be chewed up and spat out….Unfortunately that's what happens when you have minimal talent and look like a lesbian but claim to be a male. You will be replaced by the next talentless lot in 15 mins… hahhahahahahahahahaha loves it!

WOW Americans are stupid. This crap only got to number 3 in the UK. Wake up - they have no talent.

These guys are super talented, and no I am not a teenage girl that is fangirling over them. I agree that it is a bit much that they have beaten The Beatles, just as I hated that Katy Perry tied MJ's record. But times change and music is much more accessible now days. These boys are adorable and seem to be super nice guys and I think they deserve the success, plus they are very talented. If you look up their live performances and get the "they are just a boy band" out of your head you may be able to see it.
