No type casting, he's got too much talent. He has 4 new movies, majority are straight roles.
i'm not too savvy with all the characters that he's played so far given that he hasn't been on my radar that long but as far as i can remember, this would be his first on-screen gay role. that we get to see not too far in the future, that is. kinda looking forward to it since it'd be something new for the guy. hope his role doesn't get too embroiled in the whole political thing though…
