Simon Cowell Channels His Inner-Teen Girl With LYLAS On X Factor!

Wow, we never thought we’d see THAT acronym again! LOLz!

While last season’s Groups category on X Factor proved to be one of the weakest, it seems Simon Cowell might just change that this time around!

As the boot camp results were revealed last night, three groups made it through to judges’ homes: Sister C, Dope Crisis and Emblem3.

However, since each category needed six contestants, Simon went ahead and formed teeny boy band, Playback, young girl group, LYLAS, and rap group, Lyric 145.

Check out one of the groups, LYLAS (above), made up of five strong female vocalists, who originally auditioned as solo acts!!

While they may be no Little Mix, is Simon trying to make them into a younger version of the Pussycat Dolls or the girl version of One Direction? And, was that a mini Nicole Scherzinger we saw?!

Guess we'll have to see if the ladiez prove to be one of Simon's strongest!

As for the other groups? Country girl group, Sister C, seemed to be a copycat version of season one’s Lakoda Rayne and Cali bros, Emblem3 stumbled a bit.

We did, however, kind of like Lyric 145’s rendition of Party In The USA! Ha!

They were really amazing and I liked them. I have no clue who little mix is but I gather they're from the UK version of xfactor so probably most people in the US don't know of them so obviously there not that great. So, why make the comparison Perez? Why make comparison at all. It's quite irritating why can't they just be Lylas simple as that. But things are never simple right? Anyways theses girls are amazing each individually and now as a group. Good Job on putting them together xfactor peeps.

LYLAS impressed me too. I didn't know Little Mix either but one should know how to obtain knowledge, in this case with YouTube. I like LYLAS better. And, who would call a group Playback? Really? Are you kidding? Bad idea. Didn't like Sister C and the boy duo (Dope Crisis?) though.

Best group there. They nailed it.. simply awesome. Good looking, humble and fantastic voices… Love them and loved them singing that song. Can't wait to see more of them.

LYLAS was absolutely wonderful! I literally got chills. Say what you want about Simon, but the man knows his stuff. He put those groups together, and they sound great. The groups that Simon created sound much better than the ones that were already formed. Simon is a genius!

Yeah my first thought was, that Simon needed to stop with the groups that he couldn't repeat the success of One Direction. I was proven wrong! These girls are amazing and very very talented. I think they very well could be a repeat of One Direction, I wasn't too big on the boy group he put together though, but good thing is, you only need one great act!

OK am I crazy or was Marc Anthony genuinely emotional during "Impossible"? The lyrics about a failed relationship, his recent, inexplicable break-up with J-Lo, the way he turned his head down and away and covered his face with his hand during the song, a glimmer of a tear in his left eye (not shown in this video?), and, possibly, my imagination combined for a powerfully moving experience and a nice, long, 'Adele song'-like cry. If Simon planned that, he is an evil genius.
