Defendants In LeAnn Rimes' Lawsuit Still Need To Find A Lawyer
Kimberly and Lexi Smiley have vowed not to back down from LeAnn Rimes' lawsuit over a recorded phone call, but they have one minor problem — they need a lawyer first!
The mother-daughter defendants have asked for and been granted an extension in the legal proceedings so they can raise money to pay for a lawyer.
Even though their homeowners insurance is covering some of the legal costs, the high school teacher has told sources they are still having trouble and explained:
"We are just an average family trying to make ends meet each month. We are faced with a lawsuit from a high priced powerful Beverly Hills attorney and trying to find an attorney has been hard."
Even in the face of "great financial strain", the Smileys are in it to win it. Kimberly added:
"Now we plan to fight back & try to recoup our money & our reputations. Her publicity stunt won't be looked kindly on by the legal system."
Them fightin' words!
Now if only they had a lawyer to do the fighting for them…
