Sharon Osbourne Thinks That Justin Bieber's Days Are Numbered!

| Filed under: Music MinuteSharon OsbourneJustin Bieber

sharon-osbourne-thinks-justin-bieber-music-career-will-not-stand-test-of-time

Well, let us re-phrase that!

Sharon Osbourne apparently thinks that the days of Justin Bieber's music CAREER are numbered!

Now, before you Beliebers collectively lose your shiz and pass out from hyperventilation, just keep in mind that the The Talk co-host and America's Got Talent judge is not attacking him personally, and in fact, states that she quite likes him!

However, while speaking at Sydney's National Radio Conference, she explained:

"For me, Justin is… I've met him, I've worked with him, I did a TV commercial with him. He's a really great little guy. But that's his problem - he's a little guy. His fans are growing up, they're 18, 19-year-olds now. And that means the little girls of titties and lips (sic), you know they're young women. And he still looks like that little boy! He needs some hair, or something. I just don't think, from my gut, maybe my gut's wrong 'cos it's not 100%, but I don't think he's going to stand the test of time. But you know what, I don't feel sorry for him, because he's made oodles and he's a fabulously nice person and he'll go on to do something else."

And there you go!

While we're not necessarily sure that we agree with her reasoning entirely here, as we've seen former teen icons like Take That and Backstreet Boys transition into successful adult bands, we will say that we ARE curious to see how the Bieb's career and style transition as he becomes more adult!

And if/how his fans now will grow with him!

What do U think?? Do U agree with Sharon or re U Beliebers for LIFE?!

She is right - he is already on borrowed time. He is Leif Garrett 2.0 - all hair and cuteness. And after those couple of clips of him singing for LA Reid, it is obvious that his vocal talent is rather limited - so I don't think his future will be in music. I know he has made a lot of money, but I do kinda feel sorry for him because he has lost his childhood. He has been pumped up so high by his fans and sycophants that it will be a long drop and a hard landing when it is all over. Hopefully he will handle it by getting an education.

I agree with Sharon. All his little girl fans liked him because he was cute. When they all move on, he will have no music career. The chances are very high that he will have a melt down when this happens. The best thing for him to do is go back to school and get an education. But I don't see that happening. His ego has been pumped way to high.

  3. 3

Why oh why hasn't this happened to her and her fucking daughter? I would love to see the day when we do not see this hag and her obnoxious, bitch daughter on our screens or celeb blogs.

Sharon Osbourne apparently thinks that the days of Justin Bieber's CAREER are numbered!

  4. 4

I agree with her, his fans will outgrow him, the way he dresses and the fact that he is too short and skinny and femenine looking will not help, i think he should stay away from the media for a couple of years, eat, sleep, make some muscles and then come back as a man, because now he is like Peter Pan and his fans are like Wendy.

I became a beileber at 26 years old and obviously not for an attraction to his looks. It's his voice. I think the kid can sing and I love his songs. This kid will never stop making music, his fame may fizzle, but his passion is music, not fame.

  6. 6

Re: Megan – Once people get a taste of fame they can't live without being in the spotlight. If it fizzles, that's when they have breakdowns and turn into a hot mess and doing anything they possibly can to gain some sort of attention in the media.

Disagree completely, from personal experience if you are a truly a fan of an act you would stick by them no matter what. For example westlife started when I was 6 years old nd they have just split up 14 years later, I have saw all of their concerts, bought all of their albums, stuck by them when a member left and when they changed their musical style. the reason I fell in love with westlife in the first place was the same as most beliebers did and aren't fans if they leave him. As I got older I loved westlife more and more because it wasn't just them I liked it was their music to. Also although there maybe fans of his that are now 18/19 there are still millions and millions of 10/11 year olds that adore him, he'll be around for while yet

i disagree with Sharon because i am one of those beliebers tht was 14 when he started and am now 18 and still inlove with his voice, when he started i already had an idea as to who he was because i had seen him on youtube, but when his first single "one time" came out and was aired on tv and i had heard it, i was in the kitchen when it came on the tv in my living room and as i listened to it i feel inlove with the song and when i finnaly went to go see who was singing it i had just caught a glimpse of him before the song ended but it was enough to get me interested, and now as hes grown up and become more mature and has become the justin i love today i know that i will always love him and his voice, his voice is what caught my attention all those years ago and its what keeps me interested to, his looks are just icing on the cake, his voice is what i love most. im 18 now, but 20 years from now or even 40 years from now i know i will still love him and i will still love his voice, and i will look back and listen to old songs of his and remember the days i spent fangirling over him and the days i spent listening to his music when i was sad or upset, because his voice is soothing to me and always calms me down. wont ever become one of those singers that end up on those where are they now shows, he will always be a pop icon and known as an amazing singer no matter what

Sharon should shut her piehole! It seems like she says stuff just for the hell of it. She's an authority on every subject. Although I don't follow Justin Bieber's career, I'd put my money on his career lasting long after Sharon and Kelly's "careers" are over. Those two women say the most idiotic things for no apparent reason other than to be quoted on some gossip blog or TV show. She had better hope she doesn't need Justin down the line one day. He won't know her.

  11. 11

She's right. Bieber doesn't have an adult audience. More specifically, most people over the ages of 18-24, don't care who he is. When you turn on major radio stations, do any of them play his music? No, they don't. His music is for kids and adults don't want to hear him. Plus, look at the guy, he is all of about 110 pounds and what 5'7. Most women I know don't find that attractive in a man. He is really too girly and childish looking to be taken seriously as an adult performer, like Justin Timberlake. The difference also is that Justin Timberlake can sing and dance. I am not sure Bieber is that great at either based on the awards shows I have seen him perform on.

She is right, all you have to do is look at history. When someone becomes too big too fast they go away just as fast. When all the girls that love his music grow up they won't care for him anymore.

His new cd even converted many haters. And you should know that his beliebers will love him no matter what. They made a promise to always be on his side and they are never leaving. Justin has many 19-25 yr old beliebers already. So i disagree with u. I myself am 19 so i know what im talking about.

His fame is already starting to wane. He should go into other areas in the industry. Be the next Justin Timberlake.

  16. 16

I agree with her, not saying he won't continue to be a really famous celebrity in the industry he could go on to do movies or whatever and have a great career over time but as for being a popstar I think he's reaching a conclusion in the next couple years. I doubt he's going to just fade into oblivion entirely.

  17. Susanna says – reply to this

    17

He won't last because his mature singing voice just doesn't cut it (unless he goes into hip hop only and then ugh). But I think the guy can act so he should really be pushing that side of his abilities. I'm older and I really like Justin. I just don't like to hear him sing anymore and I have a feeling he has a lot more growing up to do.

  18. 18

Taking shots at Jack Osbourne (as "Okra Panfry's" did below) is totally out of line. Multiple Sclerosis does not always "severely disabl[e]," and when it does it takes years or even decades to do so. It's also not considered fatal, as it shortens sufferers' lifetimes by, in general, only a few years. You may think it's clever to take a shot at Jack and his MS, but you are in the process spreading lies and propagating misinformation about a disease from which a lot of people—-not just Jack—suffer. We don't appreciate the misinformation. Surely you could have made your point without knocking those with MS; what you did was a cheap shot and obviously the product of a weak intellect.

  23. 23

Well it doesn't take a scholar to figure that one out. Most of what is in the public eye will not stand the test of time even those who have been around for awhile. The last ten years people's intelligence and taste have dropped dramatically.

  24. 24

Sharon is right. Sure there are always going to be fans forever but a huge percentage are going to get over it. It's just how every teen pop star or group is. Their fame dwindles, it's inevitable. "Adorable teen pop star" only lasts for so long.

I TOATLLY disagree with Sharon I've been a belieber since I was 13 and nowi am 18yrs old i will continue to love Justin no matter what that's what being a belieber means to stand by Justin till the end! I'm not only attracted to Justin because of his looks I love him because of he's voice he is a natural performer he is an AMAZING dancer he's looks are a bonus honestly Justin isn't like any other teenage celebrity just like before he is breaking world records and making history. I hear he's new songs on the radio EVERYDAY because of BELIEVE a lot of people have gained alot of respect for him i know so many people who says "damn that new bieber album is great", " yo have u heared that new song by bieber SICK right??" and when i played ALAYLM to my brother and his friends they were like "that's not bieber! No WAAY! Damn he's growing up eh?" those reactions always makes me happy :) Little by little a lot of adults are now beginning to respect him I know a lot of people who loves him that are like 30-40 even my aunt who's like 65 loves him it's not because of he's looks it's he's talent that they are so amazed about he has a gift and that's being a great entertainer he will be here for a very long time and that I can bet on. I love him and I will continue to due soo I'll always be a belieber

Re: fabulousdivabuns – I'm too old to be obsessed with Justin Bieber, but not too old to understand logic. How exactly do you compare a person who had one hit song and faded away months later with someone who has many hit songs over at least 3 years already? I don't have a crystal ball so maybe this time next year he won't be so famous, I don't know. But I do know that four years of fame is longer than six months of the spotlight, so I'm not really sure why you made such a comparison.

I'm a huge belieber but In a way I agree with Sharon. It's gonna be just like what happened with Jesse McCartney, the Jonas Brothers, etc…even though the Jonas Brothers are getting back together. Like McCartney, he was the old Justin in 2006 or so and now, he moved on with music. He still sings and all but he's career kinda died out. Hopefully, if Justin's career dies out, he can move on with life and get into a good new career and all. Maybe even go to college and just live life as a normal person. He lost his childhood and that's sad…even though with the life he's living now. No matter what happens though, I'll forever be a belieber and I'm proud to be one. Love you Justin.

I agree with the part about seeing if he can adjust as his audience grows up. He should keep an eye on the Jonas Brothers with their recent comeback as a group. They just put on a more grown up concert and the audience for the most part seemed a bit older-not all teeny boppers. It will be interesting to see how their upcoming album is received - Justin take notice, they may offer some guidance if it does, or doesn't work.

  37. 37

What's with the absolute desperation some people have for him to fail? I mean, is it so bad that the kid had a passion and good things happened for him? Is it so detrimental to the survival of society for a young boy to make some song that some people like? It's not stopping anyone from getting a job, or finding a girlfriend, or buying groceries. Why do you care so much about his future? The internet has turned people really evil. I don't think in the 80's people too the time to write to Tiffany or Debbie Gibson or Corey Hart to tell them they hope they would die, or fade away, or come out of the closet or whatever. Just the amount of energy that grown adults spend these days to bring down a kid who's only crime is achieving a level of stardom that most people only dream of is staggering. He's just a kid. Do you think he sits around and passes judgement on all of you? It's just sick is all.

He has already shown growth so what are you talking about. He's pretty darn passionate about his music. He's very hard working. Elvis didn't fade away, Michael didn't fade away and the Beatles didn't fade away. Don't you think this might be the same????Don't you think artists might last awhile no matter the age???

I mean I like Justin Bieber but to this day I still can't find him in anyway boyfriend "picturesque" material with his single ALAYLM and Boyfriend. I mean still to this day I just wanna pinch his cheeks rather than makeout with him. His songs are good and he's a great artist but then again time will tell. I mean he's already 18 and that's pretty young I'm 19 so I think at least till he's in his mid to late twenties he'll still have that same fanbase if some still choose to stick around, for now I am. With the way he works hard he's sure to have success

Beiber's going to grow older too. Ozzy's fans followed his hijinx azz from fresh faced Black Sabbath album, and looking back he looks like a kid. Back then success was content fuelled, so all Ozzy had to do was open his mouth while Iommi or whomever played. Now, it's a lot of professional marketing, which explains a lot of Madonna; so as long as the Beibs is making someone some money, he WILL be marketed.

  44. 44

    Re: belieber

I work in radio. Radio Disney doesn't count. Bottom line, he isn't getting the airplay, if he is getting in at all, that someone like Lady GaGa is. He isn't taken seriously. A lot of people said the same thing about N Sync. If you are 19, do you know who JC Chasez is? My point exactly.

If Justin was meant to disappear he would already have. With this early released CD he has proved that he's more mature and grown-up, and as long as he continuous to make good music the true fans, us, beliebers will stick with him. We have passed thru a lot and we are not leaving him now. We saw him changing his hair, the Mariah Yeatter scandal, when he started dating, the haters, the fans who left him for One Direction. And no matter what, we never quit, we never leave. Finally, for the ones who said that we liked him for his looks, his cuteness. YES, HE'S BEAUTIFUL, HOT AND CUTE. BUT I'VE NEVER BOUGHT ONE OF HIS CD'S TO LISTEN TO HIS FACE. HE'S A BEAUTIFUL TALENTED YOUNG BOY, DEAL WITH THIS.

Sharon Osbourne is irrelevant, why is she even on the subject of Justin Bieber? Justin is steadily gaining an older audience, and it annoys me that she thinks he's still a "little boy" after he actually bothered to show up to AGT and she watched him perform flawlessly. All she's doing now is trying to get some attention before HER "career" days are over. Justin even tweeted, "not worried Sharon".

  50. 50

Anything is possible. Depending on how his music changes in relation to the music industry, in general, and depending on how he is marketed, he might be able to make it–at least up to/into his 30's. It helps that he has Usher as a mentor, as Usher has been able to maintain "true" popularity from his early 20's until his now-mid-30's. I thought Britney Spears would fade away by the time she was 30, and she's still going very strong for someone in the fickle pop music industry who has been around for over 10 years. A large percentage of her fans have stuck by her, and that is a crucial part of maintaining a career as a touring musician. I predict that either his next album or his album after that one will feature some very sexual songs, just like Justin Timberlake's 2 solo albums. If he can come across convincingly as a horny 20-something ladies' man, I'm sure that sound and image will serve his career well. Judging from his outfits and the ridiculous cars he drives, though, I think his biggest obstacle could be himself. He seems to be embracing the "life in the fast lane" lifestyle very early on, and that is a dangerous place to be as an already-wealthy 18-year-old.

I disagree completely, I'm 21 and have actually been a fan of Justin Bieber from the start. Even at 15, Justin had something that I found so special about him when he performed. I was 18 at the time, so I clearly wasn't into him because he was good looking, however, I was very into his talent. Not only was his voice so captivating but he also proved that he is a very talented musician. I found the fact that Justin can play guitar, drums and piano to be very impressive. Its very hard to find artists now a days with that kinda of talent under their belt, especially that young. Till this day, I do not regret one bit supporting an artist like him. Year by year he's never failed to exceed my expectations, not only an artist but as a person as well. In addition to being a very generous person, I can honestly say I genuinely love Justin for his music. I pretty much love all his songs. I think if Justin continues in this right path that he is currently in, theres is no way he could continue to go anywhere but up. All he has to do is remain himself and continuing doing what he loves.

I disagree with what Sharon said. Yes, his fans are growing up, but I have seen so many fans who are now 17-19 and still love him just as much as they did when he started. He's growing as a musician and a person and we're growing with him. As for myself, I was 12 when I became a fan and, although I fell in love with his voice before I even knew what he looked like, of course I was one of those girly, "omg I'm going to marry him one day" fans. But that changed as I grew older. I'm now 15 and I've already grown as a fan, so who says I can't grow even more? I love him for his music, his personality and how genuine he is. He's also extremely generous and he genuinely cares about people and his fans. People ask me if I really look up to him or if I just love him and his personality, and the answer is yes, I really do look up to him. And I don't believe you can just grow out of someone you've grown up with and someone who's helped you through the hardest times and someone you genuinely look up to. And if the older fans fail to support him, he still has his younger fans and he gains fans every single day. I know lots of people who are almost 16 and didn't start loving him until now. He's only going to grow more, and the way I see it, from where he is now, he can go nowhere but up.

WHY do people even listen to what Sharon has to say? Really who is this talentless skaknk who thinks hse is the queen of Hollywood? Juswt shut down the shows she is one and maybe she will ove back to wherever.

& She would know because the music career of her daughter Kelly lasted like a minute.

Actually I don't think ol Sharon is exhibiting any genius move here. Everyone over the age of 21 realizes he is a teeny bopper heart throb -flash in the pan. Hanson anyone?

That old hag can kiss my FAT ass!! She better be hiding in a rock or something, because if i track her down.. Take deep breath Sharon Assburn, because you won't live long before one of his 450.million fans find you.. I bet than you would think twice about what you're saying! Absolutely no way for a 90.year old woman to act, especially saying that towards a young boy..

I disagree! I'm 16 and yeah maybe I'm one of his "small" fans but I don't care! I love him, I'm obsessed with him. I know I won't leave him when I get older. Maybe I won't "stalk" him and look at him everyday, but I will still buy his stuff, listening to his music and stuff like that. I will always be there ALWAYS. I'm sure someone is thinking "Yeah right she can say that now" but let me tell you something. This fan base is unique, we are really strong together, we care about each other. I started as a BELIEBER 3 years ago and since that day people have told me "in a year you will not be a fan of him anymore" well look at me now, I'm still here and I will always be here. This might sounds crazy because I don't know Justin personally but he means the world to me, he really do.

His age group fans love the guy, so if a percentage follow him out of nostalgia, plus he cranks out a decent new tune here and there,
he'll be able to mostly fill venues. Look at the reunited boy bands; and they took a too long break from tunes and touring. Justin will be more than ok, especially with Usher in his corner. The kid does have a ton of talent. Maybe he'll even get into alternative or something even cooler down the road. He has the backing.

That comment made about Jack Osbourne was one of the most disgusting comments I've ever come across. Seek mental help.

Duh…No sh*t, Sherlock. Of course all these 'tween singers have a shelf life ! Unlike Old Hags who re-do their faces and have so many face-lifts, that, when they take a sh*t, they have to wipe behind their necks ! Just say'n, Sharon Dear…could your face be any more fake ? !
