Steven Spielberg Spills Secrets On 60 Minutes

| Filed under: Film FlickersSteven Spielberg

Steven Spielberg was a nerd before being a nerd was cool!

Between bullying, family strife, and personal fears, the Lincoln director had a lot of issues to overcome to get where he is today- and he lays them all out on the table in this interview!

Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to hear about how the fear and anxiety of youth inspired young Steven to become one of the greatest filmmakers of our time!

Make sure you pay special attention to the story of how the future filmmaker got revenge on a crowd of anti-semitic bullies!

    So, Steven,
    -
Do you agree with President Kardashian that it's okay for a filmmaker to be picked up in the dead of night and thrown in jail, for expressing their view in a movie?
    -
Why haven't you expressed any outrage against the Obama Regime for supporting such Nazi tactics?

I was bullied, too. But I had music, acting, film making, and poetry to tell me I had self worth. Eventually settled on songwriting\performing music as my outlet, but you have to have something, as Spielberg says, that lets you know the bullies don't matter. I just wish today's generation could get over what others say about them and find that 'center' that thing that makes them unique and better than those who torment them. I almost took my life at 15, but talked myself down mentally by going over all the artistic gifts I had and how NOT ONE of the bullies came even close to me when measured to MY standard! I understand today bullying is relentless with the communication devices available… I just had to get home from school in one piece. Not sure I'd feel if when I got home the hate was waiting for me there as well…

Re: lastonestanding – You sound like a very grounded person. Good for you for getting through the tough times. I wish the kids today could realize that their time in grade school and high school is so short compared to the rest of their lives, but I know when you are there it seems all important. I just want the kids today to have faith in themselves like you did to continue. A good reason why the Arts should not be cut in schools.

Waaah. So, I wonder if being a victim of bullying and having a "bad" childhood had anything to do with him cheating on his first wife and humiliating her in front of everyone? WHATEVER, jerk! I'm tired of all of these people who in their own lives treat others poorly coming up with "poor me" stories so that people will feel sorry for them. He treated Amy Irving just like he claims others treated him. Hypocrite.
