Pussy Riot 'Hooligans' Sent To Rot In Harsh Siberian Gulags!
Oh no!!!
For the two members of Pussy Riot still in a Russian prison, things are about to get a lot worse and much much colder!!
Band members Nadya Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina are being transferred from their current places of confinement to Siberian prison camps in Mordovia and Perm, respectively!
What!?
Prison camps!? That's outrageous!!
Apparently these harsh, freezing Soviet-era places of incarceration are home not only to the country's political prisoners like Nadya and Maria but also to Russia's most dangerous and most violent criminals!!
This is scary stuff!! One of these girls could be seriously hurt or killed!
Thankfully the courts released Yekaterina Samutsevich earlier in the month after determining she wasn't as involved in the other girls in the hooliganism but we bet she's terrified for the well-being of her bandmates!
Hopefully the government comes to their senses soon and lets the rest of these girls go!!

First you have to live by the laws of your land, and what these women did (according to my very Russian bf) could have gotten them murdered immediately. But about the prison camps, there was a special on tv about the Siberian prison camps, and they actually looked very nice. The guards worked with the prisoners to get them paroled, and they weren't treated poorly. Prison camp seems to be a misnomer.
Did anyone think Putin had a soul? Ask Mikhail Khodorkovsky, or the dozens of journalists who dared to speak against him!

We have prison work camps in the US. I guess they shouldn't have tried to pull of their stupid PR stunt.

Not that I'm for their incarceration, but they won't 'rot.' I saw a great documentary on these prisons, and they're spartan but big on discipline and very organized. They're prisons. The inmates all expressed a strong desire to contribute to society when they finally won their freedom.
The gratuitous defiling of a church by these “ladies” was as much an assault against Russia’s primary world view and value system as it was against the country’s government. Our nothing-is-sacred media in the West is helping to bankroll this kind of activity by elevating to superstar status a band whose name is as foul and rebellious as its members. Let’s see how these defenders of the perverse “right” to say and do as we please to whomever, wherever and whenever, fare as they are exposed to the actions of others who share the same philosophy.
