Tom Cruise Sues Over $50 Million Lie About Suri!!

This isn't risky business — this is vindication!

Sister magazines Life & Style and In Touch both published articles that implied Tom Cruise had abandoned his daughter Suri!

But it could be their headlines are writing checks their bodies can't cash!

Because now Jack Reacher is reaching for his lawyer's number and suing the mags for libel! Tom's lawyer Bert Fields says:

"Tom is a caring father who dearly loves Suri. She's a vital part of his life and always will be. To say he has 'abandoned' her is a vicious lie. To say it in lurid headlines with a tearful picture of Suri is reprehensible."

A huge star like Tom cruise is a magnet for rumors, but Tom's lawyer says this twofer crossed the line! He says:

"Tom doesn't go around suing people. He's not a litigious guy. But when these sleaze peddlers try to make money with disgusting lies about his relationship with his child, you bet he's going to sue."

So how much does Tom want from the magazines' publisher?

$50 MILLION!!!

He doesn't need it obviously; he just wants to make them pay. After they show him the money, Tom plans to donate it to charity.

    I can't stand Tom Cruise and I'm glad Katie was able to get Auto and limit her exposure to the cult of Scientology. However it is completely ridiculous that Tom would abandon Suri. Everyone can see how important being a father is to him and those idiots printed the one thing that would probably mobilize him into action. I hope he wins the suit.

    I love Tom's movies but I'm not a fan of the person, himself. However, that being said, I think any gossip mag/rag should be sued if they say or indicate that he doesn't love Suri and is very vested as a father in her well-being and that he loves her very much.

    I like Tom Cruise. I think ALL religions are divisive and straight UP crazy AND I am happy Katie calculated her escape so smoothly she gets my respect big time. Their divorce drama aside, I think it low to go after Suri to get to Tom. Tom as a responsible dad realizes there are future ramifications if he let this one go. Suri will have access to all this stuff. He has done the right thing. The tabloids just keep at him. ENOUGH!!!!
