Bobby Brown's Family Thinks Jail Time Will Force Him To Get Sober

| Filed under: Legal MattersBobby BrownRehab

Bobby Brown went and got another DUI this week. He may end up in a fair amount of legal trouble, but worst of all, he's disappointed his family and friends once again.

Bobbi Kristina, for example, had seen this coming months ago. When asked if her father was rising above his alcoholism, she was not optimistic and said "not at all."

Although he has proven her right and everyone he cares about is "at their wits end" with him, this might be the reality check that he needed to finally take deal with his demons.

Yeah, they're a little concerned that he might not be able to "survive in jail," but they do think it would force him to go to rehab — and stay there this time. A source close to the family explained:

"Jail could actually help Bobby. If he does have to serve time, he will be ordered to complete a strict drug rehabilitation program. They felt that when Bobby last went to rehab, he wasn’t serious about cleaning up his act and feared he would relapse … His family believes that if a judge orders him to complete a 120 day rehabilitation program along with counseling and asks him to regularly attend AA meetings he might finally be able to beat his addiction problems."

For their sake, his sake and everyone else's on the road, we hope so!

"…but worst of all, he's disappointed his family and friends once again." Really? This guy has been high/drunk/stoned for 20 years. The line should have read, "The news of this DUI comes as NO surprise to family and friends."

Let this stupid useless old guy stay in jail. My suggestion to his family or whoever closed to him. Don't bail him. As old as he is, instead of getting wiser and calmer, this guy is still nasty as he is. He is bad outside and inside period. Perez, don't even write anything about this irresponsible looser. Let him stay in jail hoping that he will realized how stupid he is.
