Demi Lovato Struts Her Star-Spangled Self At The World Series!

| Filed under: Music MinuteDemi LovatoX Factor

Last night, X Factor judge and singing starlet, Demi Lovato, stepped up to the stage plate, during game four of the World Series!

Gurl looked gorg as she took on The Star-Spangled Banner, which is NOT an easy thing to do… especially in front of all those people!

Check out DemDem’s rendition (above)!!

We think she did a pretty good job, though she definitely seemed she felt she had a lot to prove and perhaps overdid it with the Xtina-esque runs!

However, just last year, Mz. Lovato sang the National Anthem at game five of the World Series, which we preferred over this one!

You're AH-Mazing nonetheless, Demi!

Jesus christ, feggot: Stop licking this talentless hack's vag. You are even more disgusting than usual when you fawn over someone who has less talent than that Lady Caca horror story, and Lovato fits that description. She's not gorgeous, but she has pros who dress and make her up, so looking that way is NOT difficult, you stupid shit. The Star Spangled Banner was written a certain way, and THAT is how it should be sung, not naygering it up like Augilera and other shitheads do. So just STFU already, homo.

Just once I would like to hear a celebrity sing the anthem the way it was written and not ruin it with vocal acrobatics. It is a song that is supposed to be for everyone, and is meant to be sung by the entire crowd. It is impossible to sing along when the singer 'makes it their own'.

  3. 3

    Um, the girl cannot sing.

  4. 4

Why is that fatso a judge on X Factor? Zero talent!

I don't know who decides this kind of thing, MLB, the Tigers or FOX Sports. They should have prioritized and had Aretha Franklin sing the National Anthem in Game 3. Instead they chose Zooey Deschanel (awful) for Game 3 and Demi for Game 4, in which the Tigers were swept, the Series is over, and Aretha was scheduled to sing for Game 5, which is now not necessary. Priorities. One of Detroit's finest should have sung it in the first game in Detroit, instead shafted by younger stars used to promote their FOX shows. Fail.

It thought it was really bad. I never thought she was that great, shouldn't be judging X Factor.

Well, for starters this was game FOUR, not five. Second, I was so disappointed that Demi was chosen to sing. She seems like a nice girl, but let's be serious. She can't sing. At all. She butchered our national anthem.

this was pretty bad, and proof that she cannot sing live. as i battled through watching this last night i realized i have never even heard a song of hers. i have no clue why she is even relevant?? i could care less that she judges a music show, since those shows are stupid, but seriously what has she done in her career to make her relevant. I am not trying to be mean here, i just do not get it.

  9. 9

A terrible rendition; bad job organizers. It's in contention for the worst ever.

she was amazing and im no fan and i think ya are just haters

  12. 12

I thought when she sang "the bombs bursting in air" it was bad enough, but when she screeched "gave proof through the night" she sounded like a cat in heat,
somehow turning into "Gay ooof vabow naiht!"
Seriously, I thought she suddenly switched to another language.
    It was embarrassing.

  13. 13

Have to agree with everyone (except one person who is clearly hearing challenged) that it was horrible. As I listened to it last night I was embarrassed for her. She couldn't hit the low notes, she couldn't hit the high notes and it was just an all around mess. Poor girl.

I think some of you are being a bit harsh. Was it great? No! Did it bring tears to my eyes? Definitely not. But it was alright. I have definitely heard much worse.

I love Demi!! Stop hating on her, get a life.

  17. 17

oh dear that was painful. Give up singing, fatso.

  18. 18

It's not over ’till the fat lady sings.

For Detroit, mercifully, the fat lady has sung (warbled) and it's over.

You all are mean and cruel.
Demi is amazing there is no need to b calling her names.
You wish you had her body.
You wish you had her voice.
Leave her alone I bet if the tables were turned you would not enjoy your comments one bit.

i hate demi lovato, but i will admitt she has a great voice, but for some reason she sounded really bad singing the national anthem. it felt forced. i agree with perez, she was trying to prove something. she should of just sang normally. #BetterLuckNextTime

  22. 22

I think I love her rendition she did in Dallas cowboys game when she still had the bangs and brown hair. It was my favorite.

  23. 23

Say whatever you want about her singing but you all have no right to comment on her weight and appearance. She went to rehab for that stuff and the girl has a lot of pressure on her. I'm sure you'd crack too if you were in her position. You're all just rude. Plain old rude.

  24. 24

she is hot right now and a good performer but her vocals are not the best. kuddos for her tho!!!

  25. 25

Re: canadianposse – Ok, fine. She murdered the song. It might not have been the worst rendition, but it was right down there in the pack. Either she tried too hard, or she's completely clueless. Take your pick.

are you kidding - how does someone get this far in the singing world when demi can't sing a note,it was embarassing, must be who you know and blow

  27. 27

if you don't like it don't comment. but stop insulting her, she is a person (just like you and i) and has feelings. why don't you try to sing the anthem in front of such a big crowd and see how you do it

Okay I love Demi and have to admit this wasn't all that great. I'm with most other people, quit making it your own song and sing it like its supposed to be sung. I hate when people drag it out…it's supposed to be a lot more fast-paced than the way 90% of people sing it.

It really worries me when people start criticizing Demi Lovato for her singing. She's already so fragile with the cutting and eating disorders, and I remember her saying in her "Stay Strong" special on MTV that if it wasn't for singing/entertainment that she wouldn't have any purpose in life. Don't kill her with your words, you idiots. She's a sweet girl, and she needs love.

Re: momo315 – You've never heard a song by her? Dude, "Give Your Heart a Break" is all over the radio. That's Demi singing, and she does it pretty well in that instance, much better than many pop singers.

Re: PHWOARR – She used to cut herself because of insenstive pricks like you. Yeah, she may have some meat on her bones, but she's still a cute girl.

How sad? The i hate her, fatso and talentless comments,This is the only time i have heard her fall short of great. It happens! She's doing what she loves, making a living out of it and making what seems to be a positive impact on young people through sharing her music and sharing her struggles and encouraging others to get through the same things. How brave? Take it easy on her.. She's deserving of her success and in my opinion she's a beautiful young woman, talented and admirably sweet.

I've heard her live and the other times she sang this. They were great. She was probably just having an off day or something. everyone does. But I do agree, people should sing the song like it's supposed to be sang.

    Re: unbelievable

I'm sure you're one of those people who are judging her whole singing ability on this one performance. We all have off days. Go watch her Intimate Performance.
