Zooey Deschanel Brings Her Soulful Sound To The 2012 World Series! Check Out Her Rendition Of The National Anthem HERE!
It's about time the 2012 World Series got a little bit more a-DORK-able!
For Saturday night's game between the San Francisco Giants and the Detroit Tigers, it was none other than our beloved Zooey Deschanel who was hand with her vocal stylingz to perform The Star-Spangled Banner!
And as to be expected, she sounded absolutely LOVELY!
Give it a listen (above)!
So SO pretty, right?!
And DIFFERENT from the usual vocal acrobatics most people singing the National Anthem attempt and fail!
She's really able to show some more range here than what we've come to expect from her, while still reminding us of why we fell in love with that deep, classic '50s sound she does so well!
OBSESSED!
Way to go, gurl!

Wow! I've never heard Katy Perry sing so lovely before. She also looks a lot less slutty. Keep it up Katy! Looking good
Yuck. She sang it so slow that I couldn't listen to the whole thing. She make it sound like a funeral dirge. Why can't anyone sing the anthem properly? It is supposed to be sung by everyone, but these singers make that impossible.
crap
The sexy and talented Zooey Deschanel makes Katy Perry look like a pile of puke!
love her voice!!!
She sounds like an old school singer, maybe a Lennon sister.
Great job, if a little slow. Nice.
Whoa, you lambasted Meat Loaf and Romney for his rendition but this is so good?
I loved her in Once Upon a Mattress. She did well. However, hands down…Whitney Houston gave the most heartfelt and soulful rendition of our national anthem. Why can't we just play that recording instead? Whitney's version truly invoked patriotism.
I'm sorry, usually I like her voice, but no.
She should do vocals for Katy Perry.
That's a negative Perez. She was all over the place. She usually sings much better than this.
She is a good singer for certain styles of music, but not the SSB, which has a wide range and is very challenging vocally.
Sorry, I normally like her voice (in Elf, etc - she's got a fabulous sound…) - but this was painful.
Pffft. It was fine, and I've done anthems professionally.
