Star Wars Stars Knew About Episode VII For Months!

Mark Hamill Knew About Star Wars Sequels

Somehow he's always known…

We were all shocked by Tuesday's news that the Star Wars film franchise would be continuing under the Disney banner. But two people were a little less surprised about the announcement of the sequels.

It seems George Lucas told the original films' stars, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, Luke and Leia themselves, all about the sequel plans MONTHS ago! Mark says:

"I had no idea that George was going to sell to Disney until I read it online like everybody else. He did tell us last summer about wanting to go on and do [Episodes] VII, VIII, and IX, and that [newly appointed Lucasfilm president] Kathleen Kennedy would be doing them…

I guess he wanted us to know before everybody else knew… Last August, he asked Carrie and I to have lunch with him… So when he said, 'We decided we’re going to do Episodes VII, VIII, and IX,' I was just gobsmacked. 'What? Are you nuts?!'"

Mark may have been shocked at first, but having these months to process, he's actually come around to the idea. He says:

"I can see both sides of it. Because in a way, there was a beginning, a middle, and an end and we all lived happily ever after and that’s the way it should be…

But on the other hand, there’s this ravenous desire on the part of the true believers to have more and more and more material."

We definitely can feel Mark's conflict. It's like when Luke's friends were in danger on Bespin, but he still needed to finish his training with Master Yoda, and…

Um, we mean… Cool. Whatever. Space stuff. Whatevs. LOLz!

    Dear Disney and LucasFilm,

Congratulations! You now possess the power of the force and with it comes a great deal of responsibility. So here's what you're going to do:

STEP 1 - you're going to set the new films (Episode 7, 8 and 9) 30 years after episode 6 (Jedi) and you're going to have the FULL original cast back playing themselves as older people. DID YOU HEAR ME? You are going to cast Harrison Ford as Han Freaking solo, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as Leia, Billy Dee Williams as Lando and even Denis Lawson back as Wedge Antilles. HERE'S THE CATCH: THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE THE MAIN CHARACTERS. They are older now and you can use them as side characters revolving around NEW lead characters. We don't care what new characters take over leading roles but you HAVE to bring back the old cast for this all to be LEGIT and to come FULL circle. PLEASE don't cast new actors in these roles and don't CGI faces to make them look like the actors 30 years ago (Like in Tron Legacy) PLEASE!!! You can even kill them off in the first scene, just don't replace them.

STEP 2 - DON'T LISTEN TO ANYTHING GEORGE LUCAS SAYS! You paid him $4 Billion so tell him to shut up take his money and go make Radioland Murders Part 2! Put somebody in charge of directing who knows what we want. WE WANT EMPIRE STRIKES BACK ON CRACK. That means ACTING, ACTING, ACTING, ACTING, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, DRAMA, DEATH!!!!!

    Sincerely,

    Geeks

Lucas made sure this deal was done in 2012, if he had waited, he would have paid millions more in taxes, thanks to ObamaCare
Many people have sold off thier homes, business to avoid the new high taxes that take place Jan 1,2013

Re: Yetti Gold – Good points.

    Here's mine:

    1. Bring back RICK BAKER for certain effects to replace FAILED CGI moments in the recent prequels. (Yoda was the exception).
    2. Bring back JOHN WILLIAMS (again) for score. *******
    3. Bring back old SW F/X team to do space scenes in real time rather than CGI.
    4. LESS CGI!!!!!!!!!!!!
    5. No name actors as opposed to well known ones. (Stop being afraid of box office failure)
    6. Let LUCAS be as he is intended to be in new contract - 'an advisor'.
    7. NO JAR JAR, or ANY OTHER STRANGE CGI CHARACTERS, but new characters similar to original trilogy OK. (see Rick Baker).
    8. Must at least have the return of MARK HAMILL in Episode 7. He was truly the central figure throughout the original trilogy.
    9. Let the new plethora of directors have their shot at achieving what Irvin Kirschner did in 1980.
    10. If CARRIE FISHER is to return, tell her to drop the weight and that she cannot do comedy or Lucas jokes in the new trilogy.
