Chuck Lorre Calls The Bachelor 'Idiotic' And Producers Lash Out On Twitter

Chuck Lorre is stirring up trouble again!
The showrunner behind hits like Two and a Half Men, Mike & Molly and How I Met Your Mother used a Big Bang Theory vanity card to criticize Mitt Romney, but bashed ABC's The Bachelor in the process.
After referencing a number of the Republican presidential candidate's hypocritical stances on issues like abortion and gun control, the card — made available only on the internet due to the risqué content — read:
"What does it say about us when we think the institution of marriage is threatened by gay people who love each other, but not by idiotic game shows like The Bachelor? … The answer, my friends, is not blowing in the wind. The answer is, 'We are f*cking crazy.'"
Needless to say, we understand where he's coming from, but a producer of the dating show did not appreciate the shade. Once he heard the news, Elan Gale tweeted:
Someone has been freebasing crushed up copies of Dharma & Greg DVDs RT @nikkifinke: Chuck Lorre slams 'Bachelor’ dlvr.it/2QVvGB

Two and a Half Men. Zero salient points

Executive producer Robert Mills also got in on the Twitter action and added:
Ironic that Chuck Lorre decides to bash #Bachelor and one of his stars @kaleycuoco is a card carrying member of #Bachelornation

Although we're pretty sure the purpose of the self-censored message was to point out the flawed logic that is playing a key role in this election, Team Bachelor did not appreciate being labeled as "idiotic."
So far, Lorre has yet to respond to their comebacks.
Do U think he should? If so, should he apologize or stand his ground?

He has nothing to do with HIMYM…
He's 100% RIGHT ON THE MONEY. And who gives a flying fig what some producer of one of the dumbest shows on TV thinks anyway? Only idiots watch that shit and it's called the dumbing down of America.
He's totally right. Fine, get sensitive about being called idiotic, but in truth, the "institution of marriage" that the gay marriage naysayers love to go on about is being ridiculed and used as a cashcow by shows like the Bachelor and the Bacherlorette. Chuck Lorre's shows are sitcoms and NOT reality TV - big difference when it comes to what values they're pushing/represent and the sort of influence they have on the psyche.
He is right. These stupid reality shows make a mockery of love and marriage. People don't go on those shows to find love, they do it for the money, attention, and a shot at fame.
a nobody lorre is sure making a name for himself for being the most hated producer ever
ur chances of finding true love on a show like that are zero to none but u might get laid at least
Wow. One village idiot calling another village idiot dumb. Earth shattering news.
WHAT???? someone in hollywood actually had the nerve to point out what any sane person has already figured out? Frankly, I think anyone who watches reality TV like the Bachelor or the kard-ASS-ians are too stupid to live. The fact that they are allowed to vote is scary enough.
I once had the misfortune of working with someone so vile that we actually called her Vile Wench. She would rant on and on about the sanctity of straight marriage. I guess she would know since she was married 5 times!
Lorre has a point, but it's not as if Two and a Half Men was uplifting towards women, lol, but he can talk.
