Well. That's ONE way to help the authorities do their job and keep the streets safe!
Actor Michael Wright, who appeared on Oz and is best known for his role of Eddie King, Jr. in the 1991 flick The Five Heartbeats, was busted for a DWI yesterday when he slammed his Rolls Royce into a parked NYPD patrol car…with two officers sitting inside!
According to sources with law enforcement, the fuzz then went over to see if he was all right and immediately detected the odor of booze on his breath!
Combine that with a failed field sobriety test and a BAC WELL above the legal limit, and Wright was cuffed and booked!
Not exactly the most subtle way to avoid trouble from the authorities, huh?
Thank goodness he didn't seriously injure anyone!
Obviously, we hope that this will be a wake-up call for him, as anyone still reeking of alcohol while attempting to drive on a Sunday morning is clearly in need of pretty serious help!
