Guess the pressures of playing "Robby Ray Stewart" on your daughter's TV show do not come close to those you face on the Broadway stage!
As we've reported, Billy Ray Cyrus will be forging new territory tonight when he makes his debut in the musical Chicago, taking on the part of Billy Flynn until December 23rd!
And although he's spent the better part of his life performing for live audiences, the MileyBird's dad recently revealed that even with all the rehearsal time he's had, he's still got some serious stage fright!
"I've been preparing for quite some time, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous . . . OK, a lot nervous. As an actor and a singer-songwriter, this was a great opportunity to learn something new and evolve my career. I'm really excited about getting up to New York City and living there. I've never lived in New York City, let alone step out on Broadway and pretend that I was Billy Flynn! It's going to be so fun."
That's the spirit!
We LOVE that you're taking on new and different challenges - and even with your nerves, still EMBRACING the positives that come with these opportunities!
Utilize those butterflies to your advantage once you hit that stage, and we're sure you'll do an INCREDIBLE job!
Break a leg, Billy Ray! We're so excited for you!
