Did Pinky and the Brain just hijack Disney? Because it's taking over the world!
After buying LucasFilm for $4 billion, MTV says they have it "on good authority" that the third largest global media conglomerate is in talks to buy Hasbro too!
So far, Hollywood is only taking advantage of Transformers, G.I. Joe and Battleship, but the toy company also has dozens of other properties that have yet to be adapted into big screen adventures.
The big ones include Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Clue and Risk, while Monopoly, Candy Land and Ouija were already in development at studios around town.
The success of Transformers has proven that the company is a worthy investment, but many wonder if Disney CEO Bob Iger will make another huge purchase before his contract is up for renewal in 2015.
Guess we'll find out in a similar fashion to how we found out that George Lucas sold his Star Wars baby to Disney — completely out of the blue!
