Kyrsten Sinema Is On The Cusp Of Becoming The FIRST Openly Bisexual Member Of Congress!

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayPolitik

Wow! Not only did this election result in the approval of same-sex marriage in three more states and an openly gay senator, but Arizona MIGHT have elected the first openly bisexual woman to Congress!

Kyrsten Sinema is currently leading her Republican opponent for the state's Ninth Congressional District by 2,100 votes, according to her campaign. The race was too close to be called last night and with up to 400,000 provisional votes left to be counted, we won't find out who the winner is for days!

Either way, Sinema is "optimistic" and willing to "wait for EVERY vote to be counted."

And we hope those votes get counted in her favor.

Forget the fact that she's bi, she's incredibly qualified! She served in the Arizona House of Representatives for years before becoming a member of the State Senate and has made it clear that her interests lie with the people she represents, not her own agenda.

Good luck, gurl!

As usual Mario, you are wrong. Tammy Baldwin has already been elected.

Re: indeed. – why are you in such a hurry to point out if hes wrong, which he is not. Baldwin is the 1st lesbian, Perez pointed out Kyrsten would be the 1st bisexual, pretty big difference

these labels are ridiculous. whats next, the "first sadomasochist to win election" or "the first pedophile congressman?"

Congrats Kyrsten! I'm proud to have voted for her. PS, she's also about to be the only openly atheist rep in the house.

As a politician, she is too liberal for me. As a woman, she is hot. I would not mind having a few "special sessions" with her….
