We imagine standing naked in the shower, while allowing Hannibal Lecter in a fat suit to stab you with a razor-sharp knife, might be pretty intimidating.
Scarlett Johansson had to do just that during the production of Hitchcock and fortunately, she didn't seem to mind.
She plays Janet Leigh in the upcoming biopic who, in case you've never seen Psycho, gets brutally murdered in the shower.
The movie explores the making of the controversial horror film, so it had to recreate the infamous scene. The 27-year-old actress revealed in a recent interview with V Magazine that the crew was more nervous than her to film it and explained:
"We only had the luxury to shoot the scene for a day, and everybody was feeling very nervous because it involved water and nobody wants the actor to get wet. They were concerned with modesty and all these things – but I don't care about any of that stuff and Janet Leigh never did either."
And any anxiety she did have only enhanced the scene because she used it to act opposite Anthony Hopkins! Johansson continued:
"You have got to be brave, get into the shower, and face Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock jabbing you in the face with a 12-inch kitchen knife. As much as Anthony Hopkins is a pussycat, he's terrifying. Maybe I watched Silence of the Lambs too many times when I was a kid. Maybe I was having some flashbacks. So I didn't need too much preparation for the scene."
The movie hits theaters on Friday, November 23. Will U be checking this Oscar bait out?
