Christina Aguilera Holds A Lotus Listening Party! Check Out The Brand New Tracks She Previewed HERE!

| Filed under: Christina AguileraMusic MinuteCeeLo GreenBlake Shelton

Yes! Yes! YES!

Has Christina Aguilera come back with a vengeance or WHAT?!

We already knew we were in for a treat when we got our hands on Blank Page and Red Hot Kinda Love, but now, with the pop sensation's new album Lotus only a day away from release, she's taken it upon herself to debut even MORE of its tune-age, and hosted an intimate album listening party, at which she previewed four new INCREDIBLE tracks!

And yes, included amongst them are the collaborations with her Voice co-judges!

Ch-ch-check out Just a Fool, her duet with Blake Shelton, and her comments on how the song came to fruition (above)!

Just AH-Mazing!

Seriously, we never anticipated she'd even dip her toes into country, but her voice really lends itself well to the genre, wouldn't you say?!

We cannot give her credit enough for really challenging herself artistically and taking some risks here!

It MORE than pays off! And proves just how far she's come since even Bionic!

Bravo, GURL! We cannot WAIT for this album in full!

Of course, that's FAR from all!

You can also check out her collaboration with Cee-Lo on Make The World Move; Let There Be Love, which, following Your Body, was her second track on the album with mega-producer Max Martin; and Army of Me, which she describes as Fighter 2.0…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

OMG! What a fat-ass XXL-tina has become!!! How much did she have to pay those dorks to attend her listening party?

Perez becomes less and less credible as an analyzer of music with each post he makes about it. Lotus does not show her "challenging herself artistically and taking some risks" at all. That's what she did in Bionic. Lotus sounds like a super-sugary, super-forgettable, pitched-toward-teen-pop embarrassment of an album. Stripped, Back to Basics, and Bionic all set Christina apart as an artist who wasn't trying to follow the radio trends of the time. Lotus is Christina playing it very safe and basically making a Rihanna/Britney/Black-Eyed Peas/Usher album. As a devoted fan of hers for the past 10 years, I am livid with her and her record label. I know that music sales are a disaster here in 2012, but selling out like this should never be on the table. Maybe Lotus will have some much-needed hit singles for her, and if she gets those, at least that can be considered a somewhat-redeeming quality. At the end of the day, though, both she and Maroon 5 have released "candy pop" albums in 2012 where almost all traces of their identities have been washed out of the fabric. I know the pressure to get commercially-successful singles and albums out there must be high when you are a judge/mentor on a major network TV talent competition, but come on–this level of cynicism just hurts the music industry even more.

People who call Christina fat are so mean! What bullies. Please post a picture of yourself. LOL I'd love to laugh at it.

I think she should of made "Let there be Love" as the first single, would've had more success. Those of you who are hating on her weight, take a look in the mirror because your probably fat and ugly yourselves.

I love,Love <love the duet with Blake Shelton. This single should be released to Country Radio and Country Radio should play it. Are you listening Country Radio ??????

This album sounds like it is going to be simply amazing!!! I loved BIONIC as well and thought the album was super underrated, but this album will put her back in the spot light where she belongs!! Long live Christina Aguileras VOICE!!

Re: sohaveiforyou83 – Hey, I kinda understand what you are saying, as I thought the same thing when I listened to the entire album. I was a bit puzzled at the sound she was going for, because i've been a fan of hers since genie in a bottle, but fell in love with her during stripped era! I have to say that Xtina is still a true and real artist because with every album she releases she reflects a change and a maturity that she has gone through through her music. I don't blame her for wanting to be relevant again, if she's not relevant than she will be forgotten. There are some amazing songs in this album. I understand where she was going with this new concept. I wish her a lot of success!

The only song I see on LOTUS as "playing it safe" would have to be - Let There be Love. All the other songs have a unique and different sound and you pretty much have to listen to them more than once to appreciate them. That's what a true artist does, they create music that's different and unique and at the end become ART to the listener. That's what LOTUS is to me after a couple of listens.

Re: latinprince – i couldn't agree more with you. i mean some songs i wasn't really feeling but the more and more that i listened i love every single song. maybe some more than others. Bionic for me i still love till this day, but lotus is a good fallow up. she never disappoints. I mean come on what pop star can actual make a CD like lotus. Christina is a definition of an artist with her music and what she wants.

16 comments? Nobody really cares about this singer. Very awful and one of the nastiest singers I've known.

no wonder she was waaaay left behind by Britney.

I listened to all the songs she has released and I was completely disappointed this is worse than Bionic and I didn't like Bionic except for 3 songs but I like not even one song on Lotus. What a waste of time she sloppily put out this album. I don't think it will sell well at all even the songs they predicted would do well Army of Me, Blank Page, Let there Be Love I was like wow not of these songs moved me. I don't know what happened to Christina Aguilera but I'm sure drinking all the time has something to do with it. Drop the booze and lose the weight get a new style. You look terrible sound a mess, and your ALBUM LOTUS SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!!!
