Don Lemon Explains Jonah Hill Beef On CNN!

We showed you the beef, now hear from Don Lemon himself as to why he's so pissed off at Jonah Hill!

The CNN anchor appeared on Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien this morning (above) to explain his side of the encounter that sparked a sassy Twitter feud.

Lemon's big complaint was that, "Jonah Hill treated me like the help."

All he wanted to do is tell the actor that he thought he was funny, but all he got in return for his compliment was a quick, wet handshake.

The journalist admits that the initial tweet was just his way of getting it off his chest, then added that he was extra stressed out from sitting in the Cincinnati airport for six hours after missing his flight.

Sure, the actor could have easily been in the same boat and "may have been having a bad day," but that's still no excuse for his rudeness, apparently.

Do U think Don Lemon is making too big a deal of this or was Jonah Hill being a jerk?

    He's all mad because Jonah didn't recognize him. Is what I can gather it. This guy has an ego! I've met a few celebs, and some warmer than others. Mostly because they're to busy to make sure I feel validation. He's being a girl

    Lemon is a drama queen who wanted to shake Hill's hand after Hill came out of the washroom. He just wanted to tell his gay friends that he touched Hill's p.e.nis hand.

    I don't think it's a reason to get so mad. He didn't know who Don was. Big deal.

    I remember when I moved my grandmother into her retirement home I went to go clean it before she moved in. I had to go through the main hall and I had a bunch of cleaning supplies. Some of the ladies thought I was "the help" too It didn't bug me, I thought it was funny. Just a funny mistake.

    Lemon is so narcissistic! Oh the cabby made me late cause he wanted a picture with me, i didn't even know Jonah's name… Don Lemon, no one knows who you are, and if you are sad because he only shook your hand you have issues my friend. Go to the bathroom and have someone trying to be all up on you, i'm sure you would feel uncomfortable too.

    I believe Don. I met Jonah at the 21 Jump Street premiere after party in Austin at SXSW and he was not nice. You could tell fame had gone to his head and he thought he was better than me and my friend. Channing Tatum, his wife Jenna and Rob Riggle on the other hand were EXTREMELY nice :) :):)

    As usual, I'm just reading hateful and superficial troll comments.
    I believe Don Lemon genuinely feels that way. He seems to have had very good parenting. That's why he missed his plane as he explains. Very polite young man. Of course missing the plane angers him and then there comes along Jonah Hill displaying the opposite. I'm totally neutral. I don't care about either but Jonah Hill is the one who messed this one up. I believe not intentionally but he did.

    Jonah (over the) Hill is probably homophobic as well because he recognized Don Lemon as that gay black journalist. Hill is known to be arrogant. One can remember how he viciously put down Matthew Morrison from Glee in a story he told Jimmy Fallon when he was a guest. Hill said then that Morrison told a joke at his expense which had no malicious intent on Morrison's part. Hill clearly has some self esteem issues that he takes out on other people. Most likely from gaining back all that weight he lost.

    Saw J Hill at airport multiple times. No one approached him, no one cared. He is very funny; I am a fan. However, he should be polite and grateful for the compliment. Hope he didn't take this reality check too hard. Pride cometh before the fall.

    I don't understand why this guy is making such a big deal over it. It doesn't sound like Jonah was rude at all. Celebrities don't owe people anything, they deserve to be able to go about their day. They have schedules and appointments to keep, just like everyone else and to me it sound like Jonah was just in a hurry. What did he want him to do, stand there and have a conversation with him? I think the guy is just using this as an excuse to get some media attention for himself.

    For Don Lemon to go on TV and rationalize his beef with Jonah Hill is beyond comprehension. He's a newscaster. It was an airport. Apparently, Don was already in a bad mood. What did he want Jonah to do? Suggesting Jonah Hill treated him like the help is a a character assassination. Don Lemon should apologize.
