Anchor Tricia Macke In Hot Water Following Hateful Comments Aimed At Rachel Maddow
There's stating an opinion…
And then there's hate speech.
Tricia Macke is the subject of controversy after the news anchor called MSNBC host Rachel Maddow an "angry young man."
For those unaware, Rachel is a lesbian.
When Tricia received the negative feedback, she responded by saying:
"You are right. I'm sorry, I should've said antagonistic."
Though she also said… "I knew what I was saying."
Now GLAAD and Equality Ohio are calling on Fox 19 Cincinnati to make an example out of Tricia's hateful comments and condemn them.
And as much as Tric has the right to dislike someone for their style of reporting, using Rachel's sexuality as a weapon against her was the lowest of lows.
So take a stand, FOX 19! Those with a focus on equality will 100% support you, because staying quiet during moments of civil injustice just for the sake of order is just as wrong as being the oppressor!
