    It's called remembrance day and is held no matter if it's sunday or not. 11/11/1918 at 11am when the guns fell silent. Do some research before you report on such an important day.

Go read a history book … Its Remembrance Day/Poppy Day/ Armistice Day) Day around the world… England if you remember the British, once ruled the world, Its always 11/11 no matter what day it falls on. It's held by most commonwealth countries. Nov 11 was the day the WW1 was declared over in 1918…

    It's Remembrance DAY not Remembrance Sunday! It's celebrated on Nov 11th every year regardless of whether it's SUNDAY or not. It's not only celebrated in the UK but in the commonwealth countries including Canada!

    you have remembrance day which is held on the 11th of the 11th then you have remembrance sunday which is held on the closest sunday to remembrance day and as this year the 11th of the 11th was a Sunday they both happened on the same day

    Actually, it is Remembrance Sunday, always celebrated on the Sunday closest to 11/11. Probably on a Sunday as they need to close one of London's busiest roads, as the Cenotaph is right in the middle of the street!

    The United Kingdom do not celebrate "Remembrance Sunday"- The UK, Australia, New Zealand, and other Commonwealth countries have "Remembrance Day" - which on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we take a minutes silence to remember those who fought/fight for our countries, and remember the fallen. We signify the day by wearing a red poppy.
