The e-mail does talk about sex… but it was sent AFTER the accuser turned 18!
Yesterday, news broke that the voice of Sesame Street's Elmo AKA Kevin Clash is being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy.
BUT, the only evidence so far that there was any type of sexual connection between the two is an e-mail sent from Kevin's Sesame Street account in 2010 when the accuser was OF AGE.
The e-mail states:
"I'm sorry that I keep talking about sex with you, its driving me insane. I want you to know that I love you and I will never hurt you. I'm here to protect you and make sure your dreams come true. I'll have my assistant book a ticket for you to come to NY and we can talk about this in person."
Kevin has even admitted to being sexually involved with the man in question, but remains adamant that it was AFTER the person had turned 18.
We hope hope hope Kevin is telling the truth and that a man who is constantly surrounded by kids and who portrays an educational and social icon for children around the world via the adorable Elmo would NOT abuse his position.
And if Kevin IS telling the truth… well then, it's a shame that the accuser — who according to the e-mail was someone Kevin 'loved' — is trying to make money off of ruining someone's reputation.
