Ha! Oh Stevie, you ethereal, eccentric goddess!

It's no secret that legendary singer Stevie Nicks is a major Twilight fan — she admitted back in 2011 that the Bella-Edward tale of supernatural love inspired her to write a whole new album…

But we had no idea she held the quality of Stephenie Meyers' young-adult fantasy books in such high esteem!

At last night's cray cray Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 premiere, Stevie revealed how she believe the Twilight tales are just as poignant and romantic as those of classic literature, and even toted them as a modern Jane Eyre!

Stevie gushed:

"It's bittersweet… because I really would be happier if it was not ending. I wish it could go on forever. I think that [Stephenie] is probably… god knows how long it took her to write this. And it's been five years!

It's a huge love story… I was just saying to the last [journalist], it's like Wuthering Heights, it's that kind of story… it's like Jane Eyre… it's a totally timeless kind of story that we can relate to."

HA!!

Well, we don't know if we'd go that far!

But we suppose there is something timeless about Edward and Bella's lovin'…

Especially since vampires live to sparkle in the sunshine forever!

Now we just need a Twilight, Jane Eyre crossover deal! Summit entertainment, MAKE IT HAPPEN.

I like Twilight but the series is no comparison to Jane Austen's classic novels.

Ok, now I've read the Twilight books and I'll admit that I somewhat enjoyed them. But to compare them, in any way, with literary classics such as Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre is nothing short of blasphemy! The only thing the Twilight saga has in common with these books are that there are elements of romance in them. But the content, the message, heck even the kind of romance are sooo different that a comparison is wrong. And come on, if you compare Jane Eyre with Twilight then you have to compare Bella with Jane and those two female characters are, in my opinion, very far from eachother! And no, Twilight is not a huge love story that i timeless and we can relate to. There is nothing that I as a female can relate to in Bella or her relationship. Jane Eyre on the other hand is a strong female character whose character is strong and her morals and principals are admirable. And though the love story between Heathcliff and Catherine are volatile it is still a greater love story then the one in the Twilight books and that is the truth.

Jeez, this topic always make me go off in a tangent.

Is…is she serious? Because I want to believe she's joking. I know she's not but god, I want to believe it. Is this really how far literature has fallen? Really? That just makes me want to cry. I sucked in all those classic romances when I was in high school, they are classic for a reason. The writing is incredible, the story is timeless and romantic and….I just…how…how can you compare a horribly written book about a vampire that sparkles to…classics?? HOW?

This is the BIGGEST disgrace to Charlotte Brontë EVER. How can you compare a modest truthful victorian heroin to a fricken vampire?! She has obviously never even picked the book up!

Zenawarrior, Jane Austen did not write Jane Eyre.

Re: Wilshawlr – You're absolutely correct. I was thinking of Pride and Prejudice. I get them confused because P&P and Jane Eyre are my two favorites. loud and wrong..haha
