Oh good! We were worried this genius project was getting lost in pre-production limbo!

Back in 2011, we had heard that Ryan Murphy was planning on creating a film version of the poignant, Tony-award winning Broadway production The Normal Heart with Julia Roberts, Alec Baldwin, Mark Ruffalo and Jim Parsons to star, and with Brad Pitt's production company Plan B overseeing the whole endeavor…

However, it seems Ryan is NOT constructing a feature length film, but rather a mini-series a la Angels in America on HBO with a MASSIVE budget of $15 Million!

The Normal Heart follows a group of friends while they attempt to raise awareness of an epidemic despite numerous political and social blockades.

The original envisioned cast for the film may or may not be involved with the cable television version, and there is no news as to WHEN The Normal Heart will begin filming, but we love the idea of turning the relevant, emotional piece into a multi-episode project!

Julia Roberts is Fugly. She has a long face, and a BIG NOSE. She is old. She only got into acting because she blew a producer or two back in the day. She ain't no Pretty Woman, no'mo ! Woof !

So, basically just like every other thing he has done, telling the story of the gay community struggling. Damn, this man needs more in his life other than just gayness, he'd be pleasantly suprised how much more is out there.
