Jon Bon Jovi's Daughter Gets Drug Charges Dropped!

Jon Bon Jovi Daughter Drug Charges Dropped

Jon Bon Jovi's daughter is going free!

Well, not completely free- after her overdose, she still has a tough rehab period to get through- but all charges for drug and paraphernalia possession against Stephanie Rose Bongiovi and her friend Ian Grant have been dropped!

So why is the rocker's daughter getting off so easily? Is the prosecutor a fan of Wanted: Dead Or Alive?

Well, of course he is! Who isn't? But the charges are actually being dropped because of a special loophole in New York's drug enforcement law. District Attorney Ian McNamara says:

"By law, they have immunity. I can’t prosecute them even if I wanted to. To proceed would be highly inappropriate and highly unethical, and would jeopardize my opportunity to practice in the future."

So what is this special immunity??

Well, if someone calls for emergency help in an overdose situation, they are legally immune to prosecution! This keeps people from having to decide between going to jail and letting their friends die.

Well, we're happy for Stephanie, but we hope she gets the help she needs!

Dad has been in rock and roll for 20 years! We're guessing he knows someone who knows someone!

I find it interesting that the cops didn't know about this life-saving law! my ass would be in jail, but oh well. the color of justice is GREEN. We didn't really expect the daughter of an Obama czar would actually go to jail did we?

Heroin abuse is rampant in our country. It's considered an epidemic by the media and by most researchers, treatment and advocacy professionals and other subject matter experts. 12 state's have laws similar to this one. It's called the Good Samaritan Law and the goal is to SAVE LIVES and reduce the drug overdose death toll, especially regarding heroin. If a certain precinct in the state in which the law exist does not know about the law it's typically due to lack of funding for implementation (training is included in this). Her lawyer will probably appeal it. In many states, drug overdoses now surpass car accident deaths. And comments like the ones you are making do not exactly help the issue and are written out of ignorance to what heroin addiction really entails. Addiction is a disease, one in which over half our country is affected by. Oh, and heroin costs $6-$12 a bag in today's market. That's less then a 6-pack of beer. Heroin isn't a "rich kids" drug. It's more expensive to abuse prescription pain opiates than heroin. Many people are abusing and are dependent on or addicted to their Rx meds (which can be like $60 a pill) which is why so many turn to heroin.

Here's a link to learn more about the law:

Fyi, Stephanie does do charity work. She volunteers at her dads charitable soul kitchen and with his jbj soul foundation. Maybe show a little concern for her instead of being so vicious.

If you morons read the reasons for not arresting them, even you fuckwits might be able to figure out how this makes sense, right? It's not a law that caters to the rich, but one that aims to protect the rights of people who are usually the most vulnerable. If you think heroin addicts, or those with other addictions, mental illnesses, the homeless etc are trash and if you feel above them, all I have to say that karma is a motherfucker. Just wait and see where you and/or your kids end up. Even if she was a recreational drug user, everyone has issues and makes mistakes, even rich girls. I you actually know anything about Jon bon jovi (and I'm not a fan of his music) you'll see that he set up a restaurant in Jersey for the poor where diners are treated with absolute respect and pay what they can/very little for good, warm meals. He is a good man, motherfuckers. Y'all are probably Christians, right? LOL. Shit heads - do you not have any love in your lives? Bitter, angry fuckers. I hope she recovers and get the help she needs.

Re: Be-Atch – Stephanie has volunteered many times in a "food bank". Ever heard of the JBJ Soul Kitchen? I'm sure not. People like you only focus on the negatives. Jon Bon Jovi and his family have done and still are doing SO MUCH for those in need! What have you done except for sitting there and bashing them? She's a 19 year old girl who made a mistake. Who are you to judge her or anybody else? Better you grow up and get a life.

Hmm, must be nice to have an influential father. Maybe next time she'll do the job right.

Woman doing drugs is very Dangerous and Harmful. there are plenty of women who would never touch drugs as strong as Heroin even if they were given thousands of dollars.
If you commit a Crime while doing drugs, its different story.
But Selling drugs for profit or for criminal activities like prostitution is Illegal.
But doing damage to your OWN BODY at your own free WILL IS NOT a crime.

Re: shelly – You're cute. I won't speak about the BJ's don't know them. I appreciate people are ignorant, but do you realize there are poor people in prison from warrants that have been obtained from "help" calls..be it domestic violence, overdose…etc. Lawyers of the poor often times make deals not reach for loopholes…..FACT

  23. 23

Re: I Prayed not to be Gay – OH okra, please learn another song, this one is boring as shit. Go get loaded again and watch Okra, montel et all on your TV. As always I would suggest you do a minimal amount of research before you flap your drunken lips and again prove yourself a fool. Finally " If she's committed to a 12-Step religious AA/NA cult treatment program…she'll be dead in a year!" Your hate is really funny and another lie. I've been sober for 31 years following your "killer" 12 step program.

  24. 24

First off the DA is SCOTT McNamara not Ian…get the facts straight if you are going to report! Secondly, NYS has a law that if you call 911 when someone overdoses and you are in possession of drugs you will not be prosecuted. It is to prevent overdose deaths which is a wonderful law especially since heroin and bath salts are two prevalent drugs in this area. I am from this area, grew up here and I have seen heroin take the lives of people before this law was passed because the other people with that person were in possession of heroin and did not want to get in trouble so the person who overdosed did not get help until it was too late. SCOTT is a wonderful and ethical DA as well as a person. Yes, we do have the same last name. Yes, we are family but even if we were not his record as a DA will prove his ability to do his job fairly, ethically regardless who your family is. SCOTT will not prosecute anyone else in the situation either. Why don't you find the telephone call he had to

Re: amy – i agree. people are so fast to judge, calling her a drug whore. maybe she has a addiction and needs help. addictions are no laughing matter.. trust me i know

  26. 26

Surprise…surprise… people who think they know the law. Yes she is the daughter of a rockstar, but does that mean we have to send her to jail for several years just to please certain people who believe she gets special treatment because of who she is related to.

  28. MisRead says – reply to this

I'm glad she gets a break and is ok….but so many, my daughter went to State Prison for LESS , I'm not famous unfortunately. Even as law I can't help but think it wouldn't have turned out that way for other less famous kids……..

I'm rooting for her recovery. I'm sorry about her father having to go through this.

Re: Be-Atch – Actually she has done all the things you mentioned! As for the "rich people law" did you even bother to read the article before commenting? Because even I who am not from USA and didn't know the law understood it! You obviously didn't! Rich or not she is a 19 year old girl who made a HUGE mistake and I honestly can't understand how some people like you can be so mean and hateful

  31. compassionplease says – reply to this

The charges were dropped because of a law designed to save lives, not just to save lives of rich people. All the hatred on this site is disgusting. Maybe you all think the world would be better off if those people just died rather than having another chance at life. Fuck you all, all you holier than thou people. Just fuck you all with a wire brush. No one is perfect. No one goes through life without screwing up sometimes. Try a little compassion, please.

  32. 32

now all she needs is a SEX tape and she'll be a STAR like daddy!

  33. Be-Atch says – reply to this

Don't you all give me this CRAP of how she 'helps' in her dad's chairity work. Yeah, right ….She obviously did not do enought charity work to learn humility. Blow'n good dough on drugs, when it could be helping the poor. Sorry, that don't cut it with me ! Now, SHADDAP, and let us throw the book at this pathetic trash child of excess !

OMG ! I just had a thought… ! WHAT if she was HIGH while working in her dad's 'chairty' restaurant … ? ! Can you imagine…she gave some poor homesless person the dishwater instead of the soup du jour ! She swept the rat's dropping found in the corner into the pasta sauce ! People HIGH on drugs do stupid things ……This TRASH child of Excess !

  38. LaLA says – reply to this

Yeah, famous dad or not, that law is super important, especially on college campuses. Underage college kids die every year from alcohol poisoning and overdosing. College kids don't know what their limits are and they test them and accidents/mistakes happen. No one wants to see a young person die over a bad decision. The cops at my school in Ohio were HUGE advocates of the Medical Alcohol Amnesty law and sent emails out all the time reminding kids how to be safe and smart if you or someone gets into trouble, and always stressed that no arrests would be made if a call was made.
