Breaking Dawn: Part 2 Is Barely Missing Its Record-Breaking Part 1 Mark!

Summit Entertainment is reporting that Breaking Dawn: Part 2 has just grossed an estimated $30.4 million from both Thursday night and midnight Friday viewings.
And that's pretty huge when you think about how much Hot Topic-shopping you could do with all of that, but unfortunately — it's not as big as Part 1's opening was.
That blockbuster made an astounding $30.3M just from the 12:01am shows.
Whompity Whomp Whomp…
There's still hope though. Can't wait to see what the reports say Monday!

Maybe people are shying away from midnight showings after the Colorado incident… I read where a guy was arrested Thursday night in Missouri and found with guns and ammo and had bought a ticket to a midnight showing of BD2. Enough to scare me away from new midnight showings. I'll wait for a Saturday matinee. I suppose it could happen then too. Just a scary world we live in…
