Gross, gross, gross!
Usually people don’t expect to get vomited on when they go to the theater, but things were different during Wednesday night’s performance of Grace at NYC's Cort Theater.
During the middle of the show, which stars Paul Rudd and Michael Shannon, an elderly man on the balcony puked all over the people below. It’s not clear if he was drunk, or just sick, but either way it caused a ruckus!
One theater-goer, who escaped squeaky clean, described the whole thing! He said:
"[The man] fell forward so that he was leaning/hanging over the balcony. Then as people were trying to get him back up and into his seat, he threw up all over the people below him in the orchestra and then collapsed on the floor of the balcony. A group of about twenty formed around where he was, and everyone in the theater was looking back at the commotion …The stench of the vomit was a little overwhelming, and many people were noticeably uncomfortable, and of course everyone who was vomited on left."
So gross! The actors carried on with the show though. Rudd was looking, trying to figure out what the commotion was, and Shannon talked louder over everyone.
Once the play was over, the actors joked, with Rudd saying, "as an actor being able to move people to tears or to laughter is amazing but moving them to puking is a whole different league.”
What a wet and wild experience!
We hope the man is okay, and that he just drank a bit too much. We're sure the next show will go much smoother. LOLZ!
