Hostess was not really a company anymore. It was owned by hedge funds ready to gut it when they bought it. Just like Bain Capital, their job was to take it down and get what they could out of it. Don't believe the hype or blame e unions. They just wanted an excuse.

Don't blame the unions? Riight. Cause Hostess only cut hours/pay of works (hello, not the ONLY company doing lately) cause they had all these extra resources to pull from, and asking for MORE money from them makes PERFECT sense. Yup. Totally not the unions fault. Hostess crumbled. Are you freaking kidding me?

Next Union Fail: The USPS. Who, by the way posted a 15 BILLION dollar loss, yet? The execs get pay raise! Thank you, Union!

because union members don't care, they know they will be taken care of. 99 weeks of unemployment, food stamps, health care (medicaid) why work. hostess employees will cost American taxpayers 450 million dollars in welfare. expect more, we are being turned into a third world nation before our very eyes. enjoy, we deserve it. don't complain when the Chinese take your place.

I'm expecting Hostess to re-emerge perhaps in Canada. I closed my own small business after Obama re-election. only a couple of female employees no big deal. I loved my business but it just has turned into "paperwork". I'm sure Hostess just felt like a social program vs a bakery.

In Canada, Saputo Inc., the country’s largest snack cake maker, and George Weston Ltd. (makes Wonder Bread) already own the rights to some Hostess brands.

Hope someone buys them out, love their cupcakes once in awhile.
Re political comments, I would move to Mexico if I was physically able but do not meet the new income requirements, they have gotten tough.
