Anderson Cooper Faces A Bomb Explosion During His Live Report In Gaza!

| Filed under: TV NewsPolitikAnderson CooperSad Sad

Wow… talk about a super scary situation!

Our beloved Silver Fox, Anderson Cooper, had quite the close call last night, when a bomb EXPLODED as he was giving a live report from Gaza.

The blasts have been all too common in the city, though Anderson recalled this one was the “largest explosion” they had heard in the past few hours.

Check out the clip (above) of the bomb interruption!

Holy shiz… we’re not exactly sure how he was able to remain calm and collected, while he continued to deliver his report!

We can’t even imagine what it must be like to be in Gaza during this horrible time of conflict and can only hope that peace will someday be brought to the Middle East.

cant imagine whats going on in gaza? what about in israel? for the past 12 years we have been suffering..and you cant imagine whats going on there after 12 years when we decided to fight back..

  4. 4

Terrible what's STLL going on over there. Scared for my friends who live in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. I wish this will finally get resolved in our lifetime.

  5. 5

Nope. sorry. You already lost my respect Anderson. Too late for your "gaza" reports to save your career.

Re: dkgirl – Israel is suffering? You're kidding, right? You stole the land of the Palestinians on false premises, dislodged 150 000 people in 1948, killed thousands upon thousands and you say YOU are the ones having to DEFEND yourselves?

    You should be ashamed!

Re: dkgirl – are you joking? Gaza has been under siege for over 6 years! Anderson here is reporting from Gaza not Israel - Hamas owns locally produced weapons whilse Israel owns air strikes, F16, F18 and much more. Since Wednesday 14th November till today over 95 killed in Gaza half are women and children whilst less than 5 in Israel. People comments in here and Perez is not offensive they're wishing this to end as there is a lot of pain - so stop the hate - and the lies for that matter

Lets be clear that Gaza is under the rule of a TERRORIST organization. Israel drops leaflets before they fire telling citizens that they will fire and to leave an area that is used by Hamas. Hamas hides their weapons and officials in Mosques, schools, and civilian houses. Instead of protecting the Palestinians, they use them as human shields in hopes make people believe that Israel is the greater evil because the death toll is higher there. Luckily Israelis have developed machinery that can block a rocket before it hits ground. I am pro Israel AND pro Palestine but there is no way that there will be peace when Gaza is run by a terrorist organization.

Perez, I have been following you since 2007 I believe and must say i am super disappointed that you appear to be taking sides. The situation is horrible for the innocent civilians living in both Gaza and Israel!

A piece of advice, when talking about politics and using a platform such as perezhilton.com - a site that reaches a large number of people - learn the facts before posting the "information".

this posting is DISGUSTING. Perez, as someone who usually points out acts of human injustice, you are being a hypocrite yourself. How dare you publically take Gaza's side. There are innocent people dying in Israel as well as a TERRORIST organization targets the civilians. watch what you say.

Re: overthere – Yes, thank you! Finally someone that is not blinded by the Israeli and American propaganda. What the Hamas are doing is horrible, using the Palestinian people as shields and such, but the truth is that for decades now Israel has been oppressing the Palestinian people. Taking their lands, home, food…everything. And when you look at how many people that how been killed in this conflict just the last two decades the Palestinian has lost 7 times as many lives (according to B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights group) and most of them civilian and children. Now I don't support terrorist, what Hamas are doing is wrong and what they are doing is deplorable! But the bad guy here is not Palestine nor the Palestinian. Most of the world has realised this. Look back 70 years and you will know the reason for the conflict. But my heart goes out to ALL the innocent people whom have lost their lives in this seemingly endless conflict, both Israelis and Palestinian, and all of those on both sides who live in fear. Hopefully they will both understand that this CAN be solved peacefully and not with the destruction of lives, homes, mothers, brothers and sisters.

The fajr rockets used in GAZA are produced in IRAN.
    get your facts straight.

  13. aviv says – reply to this

    Re: Yazzi

FAJR rockets shot from Gaza into Israel (which can reach tel aviv and have reached tel aviv) are produced and imported from IRAN.

    so… there you go.

Re: erica – the only terrorist organization here is Isreal. maybe when someone steals your land and kills your ppl u will understand :)

  15. Lauren says – reply to this

How about the fact that over 100 bombs that have exploded in Gara were fired by Hamas, they were shots that landed short.

Israel has a right to defend itself and Israel did not steal the Palestinians land. It was the Israelis originally. They are surrounded by countries that don't acknowledge their existence and want them terminated. Instead of fearing for the terrorist controlled region how about fearing for Israel. They just want to be left alone and live in peace.

The Israelis have to learn to play the media. I saw a little boy that was killed by Hamas paraded all over tv as a death caused by Israeli bombs (once again on biased CNN)….he was killed by his own country but the media fell for it and acted like Israel did it. If Canada, Mexico or any other country started shooting rockets at us we should attack back! We have a right to defend ourselves. If you are stocking up on weapons with the sole purpose to attack the US, then we have a right to do what's necessary to prevent this from happening. If your people suffer in the process then that's your doing. Israel has never attacked Gaza without cause. Gaza/Hamas attacks Israel all the time without cause.

Glad he's not married and doesn't have children. What risk. Ey

  17. lee says – reply to this

if you don't steal their lands, there will be no hamas! don't you think?

  18. 18

and you also cant imagine how it must be to be in israel during this horrible time of terrorist attacks targeted at israeli CIVILIANS from hamas right now. The bomb went off to blow up a rocket launching site that hamas was just waiting to use to shot rockets at israeli civilians. The civilians in Gaza know ahead of time EXACTLY where israel is going to attack, because ISRAEL drop leaflets and makes phone calls to the civilians to protect civilian life. All at the same time while Hamas' mission is to target Israeli civilians. not to mention these attacks only started after 12 long years of daily rockets sent into israel by the Gaza Strip. would you put up with that? No i think not.

  19. 19

Re: lee – if you dont steal their land….get your facts straight. Jews have been in israel for over 2000 years. Jews and Arabs LIVED IN PEACE alongside eachother. until it came down to declare the state. Arabs got threatened that the Jews were becoming stronger and they decided they no longer wanted to live in peace alongside the Jews but they wanted them out of the own national homeland. Jews alway agreed to live with the Arabs. So when Israel was declared in 1948 it took not even one day for the arabs to start a bloody war. and waht did the arab leaders do? tell the arab people to get out of israel because they were going to start war. THIS IS WHY SO MANY ARABS WERE DISPLACED BECAUSE OF ARAB LEADERS STARTING A BLOODY WAR. at least then they cared about their own people and didnt use them as human shields.

Re: Yazzi – Locally produced?? Ha. Hamas themselves admitted all their weapons come from Iran. And maybe if they spent more money on their people and their country instead of on weapons to attack Israel - they'd have infrastucture and F16s too. You say stop the hate and the lies - and I agree. But what you're spreading is lies. Fewer people died in Israel because the government protects its people. Fewer civilians would die in Gaza is Hamas cared about them at all.

  21. AGK says – reply to this

Re: Ameerah – Agreed. Rockets have been fired from Gaza to Israel for 12 years - and all you care about is how awful it is in Gaza? It's awful on both sides. My expectations from this site have sunk even further.

  22. Oh please says – reply to this

Re: me – hm. Land being taken and people being killed off? The Jewish people know and have lived. This for centuries! PS. The Ottaman empire took the land you only now call Palestine and then the British took it from them. I think everyone needs a little objective history lesson here…

  23. @v@ says – reply to this

They'll never solve this ongoing crisis with the usual solutions, which always end up being temporary. Both sides need to really think outside the box.
