When she’s making music, all is right in the world.
Kelly Rowland recently revealed that she is working on her fourth solo album, and it’s called Year of the Woman.
We already know it will be faboosh! Not just because we’ve heard a single from it, but also because she’s working with R&B legends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The Destiny’s Child alum said:
"Let me tell you something, they are a part of the foundation of who I am as well. Because their sound was one of the first things I remember about R&B. Being in the studio with them, I wanted to pinch myself."
Sounds like a musical trifecta!
Kellz went on to say this is the "most vulnerable I’ve been on a record."
She wanted it to be personal, stating:
“I wanted to just touch a woman's hand, talk to her, you know what I mean? Like, this is my sister and I think that's one of the things that I wanted to really pronounce on this album, is a celebration of a woman. It's such beautiful work so far and I'm so excited.”
She’s excited? WE’RE EXCITED!!!
Since good things come to those who wait, we’ll have to sit tight until 2013 for the official release.
We’re crossing out the days on the calendar!
