Justin Bieber Is Awarded The Diamond Jubilee Medal From The Prime Minister Of Canada…In Overalls?!

After his behind-the-wheel stunt with the paparazzi last week we suggested he get himself a chauffeur, and now, we think Justin Bieber MIGHT need to hire himself a new stylist to go along with it!

Friday afternoon the 18-year-old pop sensation was awarded with the distinct honor of a Diamond Jubilee medal by Stephen Harper, the Prime Minister of Canada, which was created in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's 60th anniversary on the British throne and is given for "significant contributions and achievements by Canadians!"

However, the Biebs clearly didn't take the honor seriously enough to even bother changing out of his overalls beforehand!

Check out the photo posted on Harper's Twitter page (above), which was captioned:

LOLz!

Well, we're glad to see that he at least has a sense of humor about the inneresting wardrobe choice!

We understand that Justin's having a rough few weeks with the pressures of the photogs and his Selenita drama, but we just hope that the next time he's in a situation where he's being given an award that prestigious, he shows that it means something to him by at least attempting to put on something presentable!

Just saying!

Significant contributions and achievements by Canadians, no wonder the world is going to hell in a hand basket.

  2. Boo says – reply to this

    2

And this is why parents NEED to parent. He has ABSOLUTELY NO respect for anything. Disgusting!

  3. jl132 says – reply to this

    3

in some of the pictures he can look really attractive but in pictures like these he… well clearly doesn't. and overalls? come on…..

  4. 4

Even more disgraceful than Beiber chose to wear his Osh Kosh, is the fact that he got the award at all. There are plenty of Canadians who make significant contributions - what has he contributed to Canada? He got lucky and went viral on line. We might as well give the award to the water-skiing squirrel or the piano playing cat.

  6. 6

    What a dumbass!

  7. vg2010 says – reply to this

    7

I usually do not comment, but it is extremely disrespectful to wear this type of clothes to such an event. As Boo said, parenting fail and PR fail… (as well as a common-sense and fashion fail)… what was his team thinking???

  8. 8

Stephen Harper "Justin, look at ALL THE CASH you were able to con USA's stupid kids out of; KEEP IT UP; now get back down there and GET MORE!".

  9. Amber says – reply to this

    9

WOW REALLY…he didnt have anything nice to wear to such a event…DUMB!! plus he couldnt take his dumb hat off…Im so ready for this boy to go away

  10. 10

That little shit has insulted every other recipient of this award. I wonder if any past recipients will return their awards?

How many millions and millions of $$$$$$$ has Justin made ?
Just think of all the taxes he is paying to Canada on income
I'M sure Obama is pissed that the $$$$ is not coming into his hands

    17

Justin thanks for making Canadians look like hosers!!

  18. kritafo says – reply to this

    18

We are so disappointed in Canada. So disrespectful. We supported Justin before he went world wide, and like always we lose our celebs to the USA. Then to get a Diamond Jubliee is dresses like an American Hill-billy to accept.

  19. 19

So freaking insulting. He didn't deserve the award to begin with and then to show up dresses like that? Really? So inappropriate and insulting to the country he claims to be so proud of and all the very deserving Canadians who deserve it more. Of course Harper's a moron and probably just wanted the photo-op.

  20. 20

    Stay clASSY Justin Bieber…pathetic.

  21. 21

talk about disrespectful, you're being presented one of the most prestigious awards for civilian contributions by your Queen and Prime Minister and you don't bother to wear a suit? What a jerk…

  22. MB says – reply to this

    22

What the hell is he wearing?

Harper's like "…. uh…. why are you dressed like a wigga, son?…. somebody get me a wet nap, and fire everybody responsible for bringing this kid here…."

  23. NoOne says – reply to this

    23

How is it that this guy - who is famous for being attractive - won such a respectful award, and millions of DESERVING Canadians would never be recognized. I hate the human race for this. I recieved this weeks Macleans with an interview with Bieber. Apperently he wants to be bigger than Micheal Jackson. Hilarious. Yet, millions of little girls will cheer his name like he's a prophet or something. Plus, he's a little brat. Hopefully his stardom ends in a few years.

  24. 24

I do like justin, but even I agree this is ridiculous. His fashion choices of late are just stupid.

  25. 25

Justin is playing the half-time show at the Grey Cup today - I hope the crowd shows him as much respect as he has shown Canada. Boo this piece of shit off the stage please.

  27. NoOne says – reply to this

    27

And to all those girls who will eventually say "Omg you are all just so jealous. He deserves this award" no, jealousy is not the word. Anger is. So get that through you're 14 year old brain. NO ONE IN CANADA LIKES BIEBER.

  28. gwen01 says – reply to this

    28

this kid just doesn't get it..I guess he is trying to make some kind of disrespectful statement but as a Canadian I am glad he is in the USA making a nuscience of himself. I am guessing he thinks he is a "bad ass" but once again he has managed to make a fool of himself. To bad Justin, 13 year old girls grow up and that is when you lose your fanbase. Talk to other teen idols, they can tell you how it all works.

  29. sc says – reply to this

    29

Well this appears to be the best we Canadians can do. An idiot fuckwit of a PM and a rich little shit making crap music. I don't care if they shook hands in their underwear, the whole thing is just an embarrassment. It's just a shit hole country without much going for it in terms of culture. Stupid

  30. 30

I want them both dead! Harper and Bieber!! You're giving a BAD BAD name to all canadians!! I'M ASHAMED

  31. 31

Re: rosebud99 – SO SO SO true. Wise words.

  32. That Girl says – reply to this

    32

I'm not fully agreeing he earned this award yet, however, to say he has done nothing would be wrong. I'm thinking that Helene Campbell would never have received her double lung transplant if it hadn't been for him pushing fans and followers to help. And this is only one instance out of many. He may not have cured Cancer or found the solution for world piece but, love him or hate him, he has used his fame to help many sick peope in need.

  33. MB says – reply to this

    33

Re: NoOne – I saw that cover too, and I agree, I can't even believe that this insignificant little kid got that award.

As far as his dress, well he did it to thumb his nose at Canadians, obviously. He's extra wigga there. All the more reason he didn't deserve it. Many people should've before him.

Re: rosebud99 – Yeah, I heard that on the tube in the background the other day, with Carly Rae Jepsen, and someone else, and I thought to myself "yep… is Canadian Football doing so poorly that they need to bring in the childrens entertainers to attract a younger crowd?" because nobody over the age of 20 (and even that's pushing it imo) actually listens to that shit. No way.

    37

the was a shooting in Edmonton, a family friend sacrificed his life and fought the gunman so others could escape and live. There was no award for this man's bravery but Justin Biever gets one. I have embraced the golden era of movies when stars were stars because watching idiots like Kim K, Justin B, the Jersey shore gang etc polluting our television has become just depressing. The difference these idiots could make with their money in the lives of those who are starving yet they drive hundred thousand dollar cars, carry 50,000.00 purses etc and continually flaunt a lifestyle that one can only dream of. At least Brad Pitt and Angelina really talk the talk and donate millions. What does Kim offer, a prayer. Thanks whore, and justin stay in the states your a fool

  38. 38

Re: That Girl – That works both ways. He may help sick people in need, but is his main purpose to help people, or to enhance his reputation? He is advertising a brand (himself) - that is his main focus. How about we give the award to all the volunteers to help people but get nothing in return?

  39. sm87 says – reply to this

    39

Re: gwen01 – lol well said, indeed. totally agree.

  40. 40

He has all the money in the world to wear something nice and that's what he chooses, along with that backwards cap. It's embarrassing.

  41. 41

this is so disrespectful. i mean seriously, he couldnt dress appropriately for this? is it really that hard to put on some decent clothes that fit? he should feel lucky he even got the award in the first place. someone needs to knock some sense in this douche bags head.

  42. 42

Lol…it's Vanilla Ice all over again.

    43

This is why he is still a BOY and not a man. Pretty big honor and he comes looking like a just tilled the hip hop farm. Seriously?

  44. 44

Such bullshit. This medal is so political. Every member of the Canadian Military Forces should be given this medal. People who actually serve their country. Instead, it is given out like candy to celebrities. Only a handful are given out to Canadian soldiers, and it is given out in a lottery style. On top of all this, the medal was recently given to an anti-abortionist bully who is in jail on harassment charges! Pathetic. At least the Prime Minister got a photo op.

  45. 45

Re: ikramk24 – You should be ashamed…of yourself. What kind of an attitude is that? Wishing death on people who do what exactly? Make crappy music and run our great country with mixed results? You're about as classy as Beiber, so congrats on that. As for Beiber…I'm not surprised. He was a douche way back when he first started. I figured it would only get worse with age.

  46. 46

As a Canadian I am thoroughly embarrassed by both of these twits >_<

  47. 47

Regardless of whether or not you like him, I'm personally not a fan, its pretty clear that he's become a significant part of the music industry and has shed a light on Canada. Musician being awarded for his musical contributions shows up dressed like a musician immediately after performing his music. More at 11 as this story unfolds, folks.

  52. 52

Re: Boo – Exactly! He is beyond his parent's reach and now obviously has too many "yes men" around him. His extremely poor choice of clothing says so much here. Combine this latest fail to the frequent incidents of speeding, vomiting on stage (???what was really going on?) and reports of underage drinking, I fear Justin may be heading in the wrong direction. He's a talented boy but if he isn't reined in, he could very well end up just like his fallen idol, Michael Jackson! Hope he surrounds himself with better people soon.

  53. 53

Why is everybody shocked? Look at how he dresses all of the time, the people he hangs with, that hip-hop culture. Very rarely do thet have and taste and sense of style. With the exception of Sean Combs.

    55

Re: Boo – your an idiot hes polite and was smiling ans seemed like a nice kid which is far more important then what someone wears. But he should stop chillin with floyd mayweather hes bads news

  56. 56

I don't wish it upon him, I won't enjoy it if it comes true, but I predict JB will crash big time. He's an overconfident very immature kid, who I think will cringe at his past behavior when he's 30!

  57. 57

He's wearing a fucking snapback too?? WTF! It's just common knowledge that it's rude to wear your hat indoors, but this is just unacceptable. An embarrassment for Canada.

  58. sm87 says – reply to this

    58

Re: babyrach – actually, what people wear is very important - not sure what world you live in. When you're being awarded one of the highest honours from the Prime Minister of Canada, yes it is very important how you dress. Would you go to a wedding in cargo shorts? Your answer is probably yes, based on your completely ridiculous comment, but for the general public who have some sort of basic life knowledge, they would agree that you wouldn't. This kid needs a slap in the face for a nice wake up call - he's a cocky little shit that thinks his shit doesn't stink. No defending this embarrassing behaviour. I expect a public apology for this.

  59. Emilie says – reply to this

    59

This is DISGUSTING. I don't think the medal should have been awarded to him in the first place. I was a huge fan of justin's before he went and pulled this! Now he is majorly embarrassing our country when already the United States do that a lot. So ashamed.

  60. 60

Re: Millicent Poodlesmith – Agree. And he's Canadian, so he's genetically passive aggressive! Will be his downfall, like the downfall of so many Canadians! LOL

  61. 61

He seems so…spoiled and disrespectful. Like a little bratty child. Where the fk is his mom? I heard his grandparents went on tour w him and he has only took time to se them like once….what a loser.

  62. 62

Re: kritafo – I wish you'd take him back! I'm sick of him! I'll drop him off at the border! And go on your american hillbilly comments, you know damn well there are plenty of backwoods hillbilly's in Canada!

  63. 63

Re: babyrach – We can tell you're a 'bieleber'. Sigh. When I was 18 I never acted like a d-couce like him. Stop acting like his age is the reason.

  65. 65

Also it's so sad that he can dress up for his award shows and concerts, but apparently this isn't important enough.

  66. 66

honestly.. he would have set himself up better than the rest had he worn a suit and gone all justin timberlake on us. People would see him as something to be reckoned with… this is straight out of the 80's and silly and disrespectful

  67. 67

    ok prime minister was hilarious

  68. That right says – reply to this

    68

Maybe he chose to wear those 90's overalls on purpose to mock MR Harper, and to make a statement about how out of date MR Harper polices are. I find having Stephen Harper as our prime minister far more embarrassing than Bieb's choice of style.

Some one mentioned something about Beibers voice not changing yet and that got me thinking. He doesn't see to be evolving as most teens do where there is a little facial hair and the voice gets deeper so I am wondering for the sake of his career if he isn't taking estrogen in small doses to ensure that his voice won't change. He is as soft and smooth looking as a teen age girl. Its something to think about..I mean isn't he pushing 20 and yet he looks and sounds the same as he did when he first came on scene. We all know the extremes celebs and athletes go thru to ensure they stay on top. The same think with Micheal Jackson, did his voice ever change? I dont think so and I am sure he took estrogen to keep from changing from a boy to a man.

People jump to conclusions so fast. Justin Bieber was given this award at the arena where his concert was taking place. He literally had to run from his Meet and Greet (where he wore overalls) to receive the award and then get ready for the show. He clearly meant no disrespect. I hope judging people makes you feel better about yourselves though.

  97. NoOne says – reply to this

    97

    Re: Jenna09
    Not a valid argument.
He knew he was getting this award. It takes what, 3 minutes to change? He should've planned his time better.

  98. 98

The photo-op with Harper took place at Scotiabank Place where Bieber was performing that night (in Ottawa). The PMO set it up (nice to see that Harper had to go to Bieber and not the other way around…..so who REALLY is more popular in this scenario and, hence, more "powerful"). When Harper and his entourage aka ridiculous security detail showed up, Bieber took some time out of his rehearsal/soundcheck to get his medal, pose for a couple of photos and continue on with his day. Hence the overalls. I'm sure Bieber could really care less about having his picture taken with Harper (he is barely old enough to vote, after all, and spends little time even in the country….kind of represents his demographic that way). Harper, on the other hand, likely was fine with taking advantage of a teenager superstar (like it or not, that is what this kid is to his fans around the world) to try to enhance HIS brand. Result? FAIL. BIG. TIME.

  99. 99

Repost from Chris Hedges (Pulitzer Prize winner and former war correspondent for the New York Times):

Harper is a poster child for corporate malfeasance and corporate power, just sort of dismantling everything that’s good about Canada. So he’s the kind of species that rises to political power and is utterly subservient to corporate interests at the expense of the citizenry.

Yeah, he’s a pretty venal figure.

    .

  100. 100

Thank you Justin Bieber for refusing to dress up for our PM Harper who's stolen last elections (not that Justin had time to change, his staff surprised him in the middle of a concert, that was the only way Harper the gay creeper could get his meaty hands on Justin).

Harper is a total juicebag who's been chasing Justin for over 18 months.
