Justin Bieber Gets No Love From His Homeland!

| Filed under: CanadialandMusic MinuteJustin Bieber

Last night, Justin Bieber performed in his home country of Canada — though, this time, he didn’t wear overalls as his outfit of choice!

The Biebs took the stage during the 100th CFL Grey Cup championship football game in Toronto, for its half-time show!

However, it seems like not everyone was happy about their fellow Canuck’s interference of their football game — Bieby was BOOED by the crowd!

Check out Justin’s performance of Boyfriend (above)!!!

Dayum! So much for a happy homecoming!

The crowd continued to show their non-Belieber status, even throughout his second song, Beauty And A Beat!

Though, despite the negative response, JB remained professional, thanked Canada and tweeted that he was honored to perform.

Take a look at Beauty And A BeatAFTER THE JUMP!!!

What did they expect from a bunch of football fans. What a stupid choice. They don't want to watch some pop queen prance around. But you can bet the ratings spiked at that point, that is what they wanted.

    I'm not hearing any booing

  3. 3

Glad he got booed. Canadians did not appreciate his total lack of respect earlier in the week. Or his lame excuse. Overall - a really bad choice for half-time.

it makes no sense why he was playing. his demographic is not 20-100 year old men who are there for football. Im a canadian and well i dont like him either my 8 year old daughter does.

That's because CFL fans and Bieber fans do not overlap. Bieber was a terrible choice for this kind of event

Re: Nope – I don't really hear it either, but from what I have read from people who were there - the booing was loud and clear.

    I heard applauding … Am I crazy ? I couldn't hear the boo

Re: Panda – no different than the superbowl….if they cared to cater to the average football fan they would have a country artist drinking beer and eating wings while he sang

Re: Nope – i didn't hear booing either and i watched the whole game and show…..

  10. 10

How obvious. Only homo's and teenage girls listen to this shit, not football loving men.

  11. emeraldfire says – reply to this

I heard no booing and personally i am not a fan, but if there was booing, it's just plain rude and childish…..regardless of what moronic fashion choice he made earlier in the week…he's just a typical dumb teenager who doesn't think past his nose…..still no reason to humiliate someone with boo's….im sick of people's thinking these days already…..why can't the world just grow the fudge up

  12. 12

His performance was HORRIBLE, but I didn't hear any booing.

  13. 13

Re: emeraldfire – What's rude and childish is dressing like a clown to receive an award from the Prime Minister.

I heard no booing what is eveyone talking about? I only heard girls screaming. I totally missed it but I'm not watching it again in order to hear the booing. People need to stop making a mountain out of a mole hill.

  15. At home in Ca says – reply to this

Ok seriously ppl, I was there, Justin rocked the place! There were older people screaming for crying out loud~ I am not a huge Bieber fan. but I have to say I ho\nestly did not hear any booes! Most people surrounding us were screaming and clapping reguardless of age! Dont start chit you cannot back up!

  16. 16

Re: At home in Ca – Well the blogs that I read covering the event said otherwise.

  17. 17

Re: At home in Ca – And, I find it hard to believe that older people were screaming.

Re: Cashmere Jay – like i said, he's an idiot teenager who doesn't think past his nose…..and so as a result it's ok for adults to act like children?? this world is in the shithole because nobody shows grace…..its starts with the small things….just saying

Re: rosebud99 – yes, cause blogs never lie….huge eye roll……if you weren't there, don't argue with someone who was! My cousin who is 37 and male was at the game and he said he heard no booing at all and he clapped and yelled along with everyone else and said that it sounded great……

  20. ... says – reply to this

So… Tell me… Where did justin got booed… I'm not hearing ani booing.

  21. Canadian says – reply to this

    This story is not TRUE.

  22. 22

Re: emeraldfire – Your 37 year old male cousin cheered for Beiber. Huge eye roll…

  23. 23

Re: At home in Ca – If you did not hear any booing, then you were not there. Bieber was one of 4 performers for the 1/2 time show.
Gordon Lightfoot - well received; people clapped along to Canadian Railroad Trilogy.
Marianas Trench - no reaction; people didn't seem to know who they were.
Carly Rae Jepsen - politely received; people sang along to Call Me Maybe.

I was there, ppl were not booing. This is a terrible, un-truthful story. I luv you Perez but I doubt you watched the Grey Cup, let alone were there.
And, it was half time. Most ppl were running to the loo & getting more beer. That's what you do at any half time!

He was booed at the EMA in Frankfurt, Germany, too. He wasn't even at the EMA but whenever he was mentioned on stage the audience booed. Scooter was in the audience though.

  26. 26

He is a 16 year old boy performing in front of thousands of drunken middle aged men. What did they think would happen.

  27. Alysha says – reply to this

I think justin did well, it's just that the average CFL football fan in Canada isn't a teenager. It's middle aged men and mainly boys. They would have done better with a rock band performance. It's just the right type of setting for that. I love bieber but he just doesn't fit the occasion.

  28. hottie says – reply to this

    Wtf, there aint no booing

  29. Home in Canada says – reply to this

Re: … – wow just gonna say this once! If all the blogs are true as you so elegantly pointed out! Thsn I think these "entertainera"have a hella lot more to worry about then getting booed! tHINK ABOUT THAT ONE~

    Re: rosebud99 – awesome come back…

  31. 31

i really like justin bieber, hes an amazing performer …however i dont think he was a good choice for a football game, but u also have to realize he was chosen because it was a canadian football cup - all the bands were from Canada …i think he did amazing, i didnt hear any booing………if people dont like him, dont be immature and boo, let him do his thing.
    Overall, great performance :)

I wanna make something clear, Justin Bieber is a girl's thing.. regardless if he is a guy.. when you go to his shows.. girls are the only ones there.. so this boy should not be at a football game full of men who really don't like him or on the Simpsons why because 6-20 year old woman/girls don't watch football or the simpsons so why i'm I being forced to watch him on these shows.. I love the simpsons.. but for them to put him on their show BULL!

  34. Keke says – reply to this

Um…..I didn't hear any f**** boo did you?!

  35. 35

This spoiled kid wore overalls and a hat on his head while accepting the Diamond Jubilee Medal representing the Queen from the Canadian Prime Minister. He needs someone to kick him in the face. Hard. Several times. No class. No respect. He threw away his Canadian card a long time ago. He's not Canadian. America can have him.

  36. 36

Well at least the adults in CA know he's a piece of shit, much like the adult US who hated to see hodonna at the superbowl.

  37. 37

Re: emeraldfire – "still no reason to humiliate someone with boo's…."
but it OK for him to humiliate a whole country with his lack of respect?? emerald, go set yourself ON fire.

Bah, Toronto, a.k.a. Hogtown. Biebs got majority cheers, so puck them.

  40. 40

@raypearson Re: raypearson – Justin was at a show and did a meet and greet and right after the prime minister came to the arena and gave him the award. He was just at a show he didn't even have time to change, hence why he wore that outfit. People at like it was at some big event, the prime minister came to see him at his own show at a freaking hockey arena

  41. 41

NFL, please take note when you plan the Superbowl halftime show this year. Most real football fans don't like pop crap.

  42. emeraldfire says – reply to this

Re: raypearson – Ok i will, i'll go set myself on fire…..oh and just so you know…..he didn't humiliate the whole country, people are mad and annoyed, not humiliated…..and are you even canadian?? why do you care what he wore
