All I want to know if it is "showgirls" bad. Or if it is Jennifer LH playing Audrey H. bad. If it is really bad then that would be awesome to watch. So how was it?

  2. 2

It is sad. The film is as bad as everyone knew it would be, confirming that Lindsay has lost whatever talent she may once have possessed. What's next for Lindsay? I'm guessing that when the offers don't start pouring in, she will descend further into addiction. The only thing that can save her now is if she were to disappear for a few years, get cleaned up and then try again - but I think she is too deep in denial to do that.

  3. 3

she is still fuckable… its when they stop talking about you altogether is when you worry.

  4. 4

I actually thought that she did okay, at least according to the formula of Lifetime movies. I've definitely seen worse. It's sad because if she hadn't gotten herself involved in all sorts of trouble and hadn't dabbled in plastic surgery, she probably would have had a nice career.

Re: sharkgrl89 – I think your, "I've seen worse", is about the best compliment she can expect. Lindsay's reaction to all the bad reviews will no doubt be to blame everyone else for her poor performance. The director, her costars, the crew, the paparazzi, etc, etc.

Re: sharkgrl89 – Yeah, it really wasn't that bad tbh. She was a little rusty in some scenes but overall I thought she gave a good performance. People just seem to have an odd obsession with tearing her down, it's quite sad

First and foremost I am not now nor have I ever been a lohan fan. That said, (takes hand off bible) I found this movie quite enjoyable. Must admit I'd watched Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, earlier, so I'd taken a super duper refresher course in lizness. Nobody is Liz Taylor. Nobody. The fire that burnt in her smouldered. That said, it was an enjoyable well presented little lifetime movie and both it's leads did a respectable job. Lohan may have made Liz a bit more vulnerable and less coarse, even. There was a short scene or two that lacked, here and there (whose afraid of Virginia Woolf) but overall the critics are a bunch of piranha and were ready to decimate her lohness

I have no interest in tearing the girl down but except for Bobby where has she been a decent actress. I like Georgia rule but she sighs, rolls her eyes, tilts her head speaks really fast and squeaky and stomps ofF or moves quickly…scene end scene. Her acting? That is all she has.

You could tell form promos it was going to be a train wreck and she did NOTHING to even try to sound like Liz. Somehow she identifies with all the "greats" Liz, Marilyn…. and she is NOTHING like any of them. Why she thought SHE was the one to accuratley protray Liz and why the studio even allowed it is questionable. DELUSIONAL much???

I watched Liz and Dick and all the reviews I read are 100% correct. Her look was off, bad wigs, collagen lips, overly done makeup, etc. With that being said she did NOT invoke the essence that was Elizabeth Taylor. Lohan's voice was raspy and sounded like a 40 something haggard bar fly who smokes and drinks far too much. As for the acting well, Lohan could not even throw a tantrum which you would think she would considering it was Lohan after all. Her "crying" scenes were abysmal, i think she squeezed out maybe one tear. It was a train wreck and it wasn't all Lindsay, the script was terrible, a flashback flash forward monologue from beyond the grave, eh? It didnt resonate at all with the audience. The film seemed to jump around a lot and seemed rushed. The only thing about the movie that was decent was Gary Bowler as Richard Burton, he played the Shakespearean Welsh drunk pretty decent. All and all Lindsay needs to get out of Hollywood for a while, pick up the pieces and take some acting classes then come back when she is clean and sober.

With all this being said….Lindsay Lohan was never this great actress, she was a pretty good child actress and we all know when a lot of these child stars get older they can no longer act well something about maturity or lack there of being believable. I think Disney, Nickelodeon etc…. should really stop screwing up these children and do something helpful for them like let's say mandatory therapy, maybe handlers like actual care about there well being and keep them out of drugs and alcohol, classes on growing up in the spotlight etc…What a shame on Hollywood for "raping" these children for all the money they're worth and tossing them to the dogs when they are through. End Rant

It was absolutely HORRIBLE, even by Lifetime standards. She pretty much put the final nail in the coffin , when it comes to her career. Everyone else in it did and ok job, but she was constantly off, she kept moving her body when speaking, she didn't even try to enunciate, practically every time she spoke you could tell she was waiting for someone to give her her line, she wasn't believable at all….the list goes on and on and on. It was even worse than her SNL appearance and was very uncomfortable to watch. I can't stand her for personal reasons, but even I was embarrassed for her. She is in no place to be doing movies and those who supposedly care about her shouldn't have let her. Instead, they should have encouraged her to get the help she needs.

Re: kabuki girl – People who compare themselves to others like that typically always have huge mental issues. Re: Aurora – The really sad thing is, most of their behavior & the final outcome has to do with their parents and what their parents allow. It seems time and time again the parents love the money more than they do their own child. There are far more Lindsay Lohans out here than there are Dakota Fannings. Dakota is about 10 years younger than Lindsay, but she's been acting since a much younger age. She has an amazing family and is a well adjusted, very nice young woman. She takes nothing for granted and is a very kind person, traits her parents instilled in her. Lindsay's parents seem to have instilled the complete opposite in her.

Lindsay was a lot better than I thought she would be. The movie made Liz and Dick look like a couple of real jerks. I hope Liz was not really like that. I think she was a lot more than that.

Re: ickynicky – True. I just think that the studios need to be accountable as well and have some sort of system in place to help these kids especially for those kids who have questionable "parents"

  16. 16

I watched it, it's not bad at all. I feel like the end was a little manic but overall I was more impressed than I figured I would be. Lindsay did good, and the guy playing Dick did really, really good.

  17. 17

I didn't think it was that horrible, maybe some scenes were a bit cheesy, some of the acting was a bit over the top…I just thought the story was incredibly boring. It took me 5 hours to finish it because my attention was not grabbed and I found other things to do.

You are such an asshole. You are enjoying all the critics people are saying about Lindsay. Get a life, porky.

  19. 19

reality is shes only done teenageee romcoms so anything she did here she did good

critics use milled out responses such as' it was like watching paint dry' ' i could go to my grandmothers and get a better show off watching her get a enema "and other such drivel then they go drink their 1000 buc wine and sink into their 20000 buc couch all because they talk shit about someone else…

try to see the good in the fact the girl got thru it at all..shes not in jail (yet) and doing ok

Mike should hit the auditions himself and earn his respect and lotsa cash of his own.
Imagine not having to sell interviews, if that's what he does. He crossed a big line, and it will be a long way back with her, if at all. If he has his own, his behavior would change.
I think he's good looking and a camera likes him. Walk the walk.

I am not a critic or reporter. I think Lindsay Lohans preformance was good! Lifetime movies are usually a bit cheesy but I think she did a decent job with what she was given! I think that for some reason there are a lot of people out there who want to see her fail and it's wrong. Everyone goes through issues in their life and they can ruin you or make you stronger! I hope Lindsay doesn't take the bad critisim to heart, I think she could be one of the great actresses if she can just try not to let everyone including her dysfunctional family hold her down!
