He's obviously not the brightest guy in the world. He can barely create a coherent spoken sentence. That said, he experienced what most evangelical followers do…a dopamine rush at one point or another that he directly correlated with religion. That's how most of these people get hooked. And he fell victim to it as well. It's the same thing that people go thru at a rave.
