Larry Hagman's Death Viewed In Terms Of Profitability By Morbid Dallas Execs?!

Seriously, TNT?!

Days after iconic TV star Larry Hagman succumbed to throat cancer, his network is already discussing how his passing will affect their bottom line!!

Paying little thought to the actor's profoundly saddened survivors, they are concerned instead with how Larry's passing could boost Dallas' ratings when the show returns!

A high-ranking network exec revealed:

“Sure, it sounds a bit morbid, but [Larry] spent most of his life working in show business and would probably have understood."

Yes, it does sound morbid.

We understand these suits are paid for their business acumen, but there is a time and a place for talking shop and this is neither!

Who knows how the dollars and cents will play out and, at this juncture, who really cares?!

Ugh!! That statement is beyond morbidly tacky — it's wrong!!

Our sincerest thoughts remain with Larry's friends and family, not with people profiting from his passing.

Sorry Perez, but if you can't name the "high-ranking network exec", you are just making up stories. Which makes you the evil one in this case.

Perez, bless your heart, I honestly think you don't even realize what a hypocrite you are. I used to think you knew exactly what you were doing, but now I think you just really don't get it. You are not a journalist. You are a gossip columnist, who makes money off of what he posts in his blog. You just wrote this little piece and put it in your blog, which makes you just as guilty of trying to profit off his death as those executives are. The only difference is the amount of money to be gained. But I agree……Larry Hagman seemed like the kind of guy who gets how the game is played, so I don't think he would blame you a bit.

It is morbid but if one exec ( who isn't named) said it doesn't represent all of TNT. You reporting this rumor certainly isn't helping friends and family either.

I'm sure that since Larry was sick for a while, this was already discussed with him, in the past. Most tv productions have scripts already written for this type of thing. There goes perez making things up.

They'll have a SHOCKER at his funeral…..Pam Ewing will show up after being released from some top secret insane asylum JR had her committed to years before….

Don't you think if Larry Hagman had a fantastic feast (Thanksgiving) for the entire Dallas cast, one day before he died, that he might have talked with the executives on how he wanted his character to be played if he couldn't be there anymore (in the hospital or passed away).

Think about it for a second … with most of the episodes already taped, someone has to think about how to write out J.R.. BTW this has been done on several shows … most tastefully.

Why is anyone bothered by this? Perez you know that everyone is blood sucking freak only out for their own interests and their next payoff I mean paycheck.
